Shining above all other living species in the world, wearing yellow suits and red boots, are firefighters. I was at the age of two when I first saw them, and my life hasn't been the same since. I remember waking up in the middle of the night to the shriek of the fire alarm. It was absolutely terrifying, but before I knew it, screaming sirens were approaching. A red truck with flashing lights appeared, and I suddenly felt assured as I saw the fearless firefighters emerging from the truck, ready to save the day.Whether they're putting out fires, teachings kids, or even saving cats from trees, there is no job that firefighters can't accomplish.
If you think police officers are heroes, think again. Firefighters put out fires, help the community, and most of all, they are dedicated. Firefighters have
...the power to control the seemingly indestructible substance, fire. In the situation of a fire, firefighters do everything in their power to keep the fire from spreading and to distinguish the fire. A burning building is a matter of life and death. For the sake of saving lives of strangers, firefighters stand up to the fire and even run into burning buildings.
As a result, individuals are given a chance to live a life that wouldn't necessarily be there if it weren't for firefighters. Simply saving just one person's life spares a lot of other people the pain of losing someone important to them. By distinguishing fires, firefighters prevent buildings and all the belongings in it from being demolished. Imagine your house burning down. Losing everything you owned is a tragedy that no one should deserve to
go through.
Therefore, firefighters are there for help, limiting the damage. Not only do firefighters deal with fires in buildings, they also deal with landscape fires, such as fires in forests and rural areas. Forest fires are devastating, and are difficult to manage. Large areas of land would be ruined if firefighters weren't there to stop the fire.
As a result of distinguishing fires, firefighters save lives, protect buildings, and maintain our environment. The acts of firefighters go beyond just dealing with fires. In fact, fires are only 20% of what firefighters are involved with.Firefighters are highly trained to be able to respond instantly to any emergency situation.
A large portion of the firefighter profession involves fulfilling requests of the Emergency Medical service, which may involve dealing with heart attacks and car accidents. Firefighters are also devoted to acts of public service. This incorporates carrying-out the building inspection procedures, and ensuring that laws regarding fire safety are followed. Educating the public about fire safety is also a main component of being a firefighter. Visiting schools to teach kids is one way that firefighters spread their knowledge on fire.On top of everything they already do, firefighters also continue with their training, both educationally and physically.
The feats of firefighters are truly impressive. Not only do firefighters put out fires, they also perform medical emergencies, provide public services, and somehow, they still find time for personal development. You can not call yourself dedicated until after you've compared yourself to firefighters. The number of hours they work is simply shocking.
The fire station is considered the firefighters' home. Bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen are included in some
fire stations. Some firefighters work 24 hour shifts, whereas other firefighters take turns working 10 hour day shifts and 14 hour night shifts. Personally, I definitely wouldn't have the commitment required to work those long, studious hours.
While on duty, firefighters put their lives in constant danger for the sake of the community. Firefighters have to respond to any situation, no matter what the circumstances are. Running into burning buildings to save strangers is typical for firefighters. A heroic act like that requires courage that most people don't have.
Dealing with fire, a formidable substance, is no easy task.Firefighters need to be dedicated and brave, considering their safety is always at risk during the many hours they work. There is nobody else like firefighters. The spectacular, heroic ways of firefighters put police officers and all other species in this world to shame. Unlike other ordinary people, firefighters stop fires and save lives! No matter what your age is, young or old, firefighters are people you can look up to. Ever since that fateful day when I was two, my love for firefighters has only grown.
The world just wouldn't be the same without firefighters.
