Florence Nightingale, a celebrated nurse, dedicated much of her time to conducting night rounds in medical facilities with the aim of providing personalized care to the injured. This devotion earned her the title of the "Lady with the Lamp." Widely recognized as the pioneer of modern nursing, Nightingale advocated for nursing to be an autonomous profession and played a crucial role in implementing policies that empowered nurses and prevented external control over their field. However, nursing education programs in the United States have often veered away from Nightingale's approach, impeding professional progress for over a century. Nevertheless, her teachings continue to exert influence on professional nursing education in America, particularly regarding socialization.

Pursuing a BSN degree has had a profound impact on my socialization process by providing insights into cultural induction and equipping me with valuable attitudes, behaviors, and skills necessary for establishing social roles within today's society.

The BSN program has been beneficial for my socialization skills as it provides essential knowledge and expertise in occupational identification. This helps with the assimilation and adoption of professional standards followed by qualified practitioners (Chin, 2016).
