One of the reasons why Barbie was so popular in both France and Middle East is because most people living in those countries are able to afford such a high priced doll for their little kids. It also acts as a status symbol for a parent who could buy such an expensive doll for their kids. The representation of Barbie as a pretty little doll make every kids want to be like her and this is another reason why it is famous in France. Talking about banning Fulla in France, we felt the same thing as what should happen in the Muslim countries. Banning it would not solve the problem as a whole because as what had happened, there is a lot of smuggling to bring Barbie into the countries just to fulfill the market demand.

As we said earlier, people always have other options that they could choose when it comes to something that they do not like. In the case, it is also said that some people see Fulla as an Islamist plot to reach children in their homes and divide the nation as well. However, we do not see the point of saying that because by playing with a doll dressed as a Muslim would not make you want to be a Muslim.

3. Why do you think Fulla was far more successful than Sara and Razanne? Due to their marketing and advertising strategies, Fulla was able to capture the desired audience.

Since it is also supported by television commercials, she was able to get more exposure compared to the other dolls in the market. Through their marketing commercials, Fulla was portrayed as someone with good behaviors which the parents thought would be a good role model for their children. Fulla also has both inside and outside outfit. So for people who do not want Fulla to be fully covered as a Muslim girl, they could just let Fulla wear the inner outfit which is still modest and pleasant.
