Have you ever wondered what could have happened if Sleeping Beauty wasn’t beautiful at all? Would the prince kiss her and fall in love with her the moment they met? Attraction is a stepping stone in finding love and Beauty comes with it. But does it always mean that if you’re not beautiful you can never find your happily ever after? Everyone has different interpretations of Beauty.
Every person is beautiful but it is not visible to everyone. According to the Oxford dictionary, Beauty is defined as “a combination of qualities that gives pleasure to the mind or senses, a feature that is most effective, gratifying, and outstanding. ...ht. “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder” they say, and time after time beholders are being blinded by beauty. In today’s modern generation, society has created a standard of what beautiful should look, this implies especially on women. Nowadays, media and magazines become phenomenon in advertising industry. We see alluring and stunning men and women in magazines and most of the time it just gives us the urge to imitate them.
Being pressured by society, we become more conscious about our appearance. Moreover, a lot of women nowadays spend so much money on plastic surgeries and dermatologists to look more appealing and attractive to men. If a person feels like he/she is ugly, then that person is lack of confidence and self esteem. To be beautiful is to be confident, and to be confident is to
accept yourself for who you are. What do we notice on a person the first time we meet them? Yes, their faces. It is not possible to simply know a person just by looking at them. Don’t judge a book by its cover”, a person may look unattractive to you now, but may seem too look attractive later on. Beauty is not just found in the outside but also in the inside. It takes 5 sec. to look at a person and easily say that she’s beautiful, but to know how beautiful a person is in the inside could take years. For instance caves, they may look unattractive on the outside being covered with trees and rocks but as you explore it with dedicated time and effort, you’ll discover its inner beauty.
Most of us are being deceived by the outer beauty for it is the first thing we see but remember, what we see is not always what it seems. There are many different meanings of beauty. It does not just imply to a person but also to places and things. We know that something is beautiful when it gives us the feeling of wonder. It’s what keeps us holding on to it. To have a beautiful appearance is a gift but to have a beautiful personality is forever. A pretty face won’t last long for we will all die in the end, but a beautiful personality will always stay to those who acknowledged it.
God made the world beautiful therefore everything around us comes naturally beautiful. Beauty comes from within; it’s what makes us see happiness on the little things. We
all posses various types of personalities, attitudes and appearances, but in the eyes of God we are all distinctive. God made us with love thus Beauty is related to Love as I mentioned in the first paragraph. Beauty captures a person’s mind and attention but it takes true beauty to capture love, because Love is when you appreciate and understand the true meaning Beauty.
