The movie Is trying to tell the viewer that blindly believing in someone and living according to some on else's will, can not always be beneficial for everyone and that people should think about how better their life can get. For example the ants trusted the Queen and the Queen trusted on the General who in return of the position he got betrayed each and everyone of them, he even betrayed the Queen who gave him the opportunity to be such a big part of their colony. The other ants believed that they are only supposed to work in the field that they are assigned in when they are born, but they should have thought what do each of them really like to do, and how they can best contribute to the betterment of their colony.
