An effective change will involve communicating and reinforcing mission and vision statements. This helps prevent people from becoming discouraged by small setbacks along the way (Vinh, 2007). Leaders should continue to emphasize the values of the strategic plans and involve important stakeholders at the same time (Vinh, 2007). Engaging employees and volunteers helps them recognize and take ownership of the change. Involving employees also brings more perspectives to prevent potential issues. Mission and vision statements have three critical roles: communicate the purpose of the organization to stakeholders, inform process improvement, and establish measurable goals and targets to measure the success of the organization's strategy. Improved performance consists of innovation, a better growth strategy, and enhanced execution.

The objective is to define the optimal combination of key arrangements for sustained improved performance, encompassing growth strategies, development, and enhanced execution (Lawrie, 2004). This is achieved through two assessments: the strategic and the internal evaluations. The strategic evaluation identifies priority opportunities and threats to business growth. The outcome is a list of prioritized, executable growth strategies (Lawrie, 2004). The internal evaluation identifies priority opportunities to enhance performance through quality improvement, consistency improvement, cost reduction, customer satisfaction enhancement, system improvement, morale boosting, leadership enhancement, etc.

In short, when you have your change motivation for execution administration, you have assembled your vital or change plan that promotes enhanced performance.

Other factors and variables that influence the performance management plan (PIP)

The purpose of the PIP process is for the manager to identify the areas of the employee's performance that need improvement. When recording the main performance issues, the manager should be objective, factual, and specific. They should provide facts and examples to further clarify the severity or pattern of performance concerns. These meetings should discuss and document progress towards objectives. In other words, it is best when a employee is given the opportunity in follow-up meetings to ask questions and seek guidance or clarification on performance expectations.

The manager must ensure that any possible detours are discussed and that the employee has been provided with the necessary tools and training (Kaplan, 2001).
