Each organization, whether large or small has its own culture. The organization culture encompasses the behaviors, values and attitudes of the workers in any given business and it can be either healthy or unhealthy. An organization with a healthy culture is associated with numerous positive attributes such as having the workers with high morale, ability to retain and attract a highly experienced workforce, delivering of quality products and services as well as enhancing the corporate image thereby enabling it to charge high prices for its superior products(Su &Chen, 2014). The converse is also true. There is need for the organization therefore to evaluate its culture in order to ascertain if it is healthy so as to enable it to enjoy the benefits that are characterized by working with employees with right values and positive attitudes toward their work and entire organization.

The Proposed Study

The proposed study intends to evaluate the corporate culture of the Flushing Bank which is based in Uniondale, New Yorkso as to ascertain if its members of staff have the right attitude and values towards the work they do and entire organization itself. tudy will provide recommendations to the bank on the best course of actionthat should be undertaken by the organization either to improve the its culture or address particular problems that that are likely to influence it negatively should there be a gap. The overall goal of the study is to ensure the bank has the right corporate culture which will enhance its image and enable it to remain competitive by attracting and retaining a large number of highly skilled employees who will develop innovative products and services that will bridge the existing gap in the market and meet the client’s changing demands.

How the Study will be conducted

The proposed study of investigating the Flushing Bank corporate culture will be conducted through collection of the employee’s attitude and values. To accomplish this task, the employees will be required to fill particular forms where they will respond to closed ended and open ended queries that will be asked. The researchers will also observe the visible behaviors and attitudes of the employees in order to ascertain if the bank’s corporate culture is the best one and if not so, the best course of action that should be undertaken. The behaviors that will be observed include dressing codes, punctuality, and accomplishment of tasks before deadline, observing of laid rules, addressing of senior officials with respect, absenteeism and complaints presented.

Funding

The research will be funded by theFlush Bank itself and it is expected to take six months. This period is expected to be longer enough to allow collection of data, enable analysis and compiling of the report. the budgeted funds, it is expected that the research will cost about $60, 000 which will be used to pay miscellaneous expenses, acquiring of materials and paying of contracted researchers.

Conclusion

Up on approval of this proposal by the Flush Bank, the proposed study will investigate the organizations corporate culture in order to ascertain if it is the best one, and if not, recommend the best course of action that should it will undertake in order to ensure the its employees have the right values and attitudes toward work. As a consequence, the bank will be in a position to retain and attract a large number of highly skilled employees who develop and deliver high products that will enable the organization to remain competitive.
