What was it? Actually, it was indeed real! Or yes! It was my father trying to wake me, "Wake up, Jimmy, wake up! " "Not yet, Dad.

Justas few more minutes, please! " murmured! And he went, "It's Sunday, Jimmy, don't you want to go hunting? Your cousins are already here! Wake up! " The mention of hunting worked like magic! "Yes, of course, Dad! How could sleep, any more? I jumped out of my bed!

I can do anything for hunting! My biggest hobby, my passion. I will never forget that Sunday. Well, there are events in all our lives that change us- making us wiser! This Sunday was to become one for me. Actually, I have gone through many incidents, which changed the way I think about things. But this Sunday stands out, for it taught me a

huge lesson.

I remember how excited I was, on waking up at my father's call! I hurried though things, dashed into his room and carrying shotguns and other equipment rushed to his SLAV. The smell of rest bread, eggs, and coffee was coming from the kitchen downstairs!

Yummy! It was he packing the food and getting ready for a long exciting day of hunting in the desert! His phone kept ringing with calls from my uncles and cousins telling that they were waiting outside, impatiently. "Here, Jimmy, take this to the car. " my father said handing me the all the hunting gears.

"Faith pleasure, Dad! " replied carrying them while he himself carried a big box full of drinks and food! And there we were, on our way heading to the desert for hunting! We made

our way deep into the desert, accompanied by two other airs with relatives and friends.

We moved together as a group, very thrilled as it was a bright crisp sunny day- the first day of the hunting season. It looked like this was our lucky day as we could hunt a lot of birds and were having a lot of fun. We were cruising in the desert close to each other, looking for a particular breed of birds. Suddenly, one of our relatives spotted a large flock of birds, stepped on the gas and cruised straight towards the birds, speeding, not watching in front of him, just focusing upward, chasing the birds flying in all different directions.

And all of a sudden, with a big thud his car crashed right into a large rock which the driver did not notice because of his speed and because of focusing on the birds above. The car rolled over several times before finally landing- overturned! We could barely see the car because of the plume of dust that the crash raised. Our excitement had vanished in a moment! Distressed, we all ran towards the car not knowing what to expect! We noticed smoke coming out of the crushed car. Give me a hand, give me a hand" my father yelled as he and other friends reached the car, started lulling the passengers out and carrying them to a safe distance- just in case the car might catch fire! Unfortunately, they were all severely injured and needed hospitalizing. The accident had shattered all of us.

Tears started rolling down my cheeks, and I was so overwhelmed, I couldn't even make

out if I was just sweating or was actually in tears! In fact, I couldn't decide what I should do or how must react. I also had this horrible feeling whether my cousins would survive this terrible accident.

That was a turning point for me. The good part of this terrible incident was that I learnt a lesson, and became wiser.

Became keenly aware that one can never tell when excitement would come to an abrupt end, and how a moment of joy can turn into a disaster just in a flash. More importantly, it also taught me that nothing is worth losing your life for, and so we should always keep our personal safety our top priority in all situations. And my cousins? Well, of course they all did make it! Now it's just a matter of time before they start leading a normal life again! Isn't that great?
