Upon finishing high school, a student has ample door open leading to different career paths. It would take a careful and well-thought survey for one to choose that career path that satisfies his or her desires. Some of the professional careers that seem attractive to students include Engineering, Architecture, Law, Education, and Medicine among others. Each and every field has got its minimum requirements that need to get fulfilled before one needs to get an entry. The paper is a cognitive overview of why I would like to peruse the field of finance as my future career path.
In my pursuit of a career in finance, I will need to earn a bachelor’s degree or a Master of Business Administration with a major in economics (Teowkul et al, 44). I will have gained the necessary managerial skills for the position. Mo
...st importantly, I will acquire the most exquisite money management skills that I can transfer to other areas like of my personal investment or even start a consultancy firm. It is important to note that money powers the sectors of the economy. As I financial worker, I will personally understand the financial positioning of my household. I can also work as a Retirement Planning officer in a government agency. I prefer taking the financial career path to other disciplines like Medicine and Surgery because of the level of freedom in the field. In the medical sector, a doctor will be glued with the patients thus denying him opportunities of thinking of better investment opportunities in other walks of life.
Stock Trading as a Career
Other than being an active investor, I can be a stock trader who engage
in advising other shareholders and help manage other trading portfolios. Most of the traders are individuals who might engage in the forex as an activity that earns them extra income if everything goes well. As a trader, I will have an interest in fully undertaking stock trading and spot forex as a professional career after conducting the necessary certifications. In the United States of America, the stock traders of a particular company are required to make an internship of up to four months before being given the go-ahead to engage in the business (Gitman and Carl, 54). The placement gets followed by an obligatory test from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Statistics from the United States’ Bureau of Labor Statistics affirm that the stock and commodity traders were to be greater than twenty-one percent for a ten-year duration between the years 2006 and 2016.
Undertaking the trade in securities and assets will equip me as a trader with the very necessary skills of creating wealth and increase his or her performance in the corporate world. Other reports pointed out that an average stock trader made an annual income of sixty-eight thousand and five hundred dollars. The experienced traders in the stock market have a potential of earning more than one hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year. As I grow in my career, my remarkable achievements through the results will attract me more clients to help.
Some advantages will come as a result of me fully engaging in forex trading. Most importantly, the market is open twenty-four hours a day five days a week. It just means that I do trade at my opportune time without following
orders from some boss. Also, there is no competition amidst other traders and it’s only my good trading strategies that will make me the winner in the end. A closer look at the financial markets will also enable me to broadly understand the political waves around the globe because they are the biggest determinants of the economy of a given country.
In summary, there are countless opportunities for growth in the financial field as compared to any other discipline. That is why I will not hesitate to peruse finance as my career path.
