The play "Alibugha" was seen on September 11, 2011, at Paco Catholic School. It is based on the Parable of the Prodigal Son and shares similarities with the original story. In "Alibugha," a family including a father and two sons is depicted.
The father was a farmer, his older son followed in his footsteps while his younger son ventured off to Manila for education, as he had no desire to continue the family's farming tradition. He held the belief that pursuing a career in farming would not bring him prosperity or fortune. At some point, the younger son came back home and requested his share of the inheritance. Once he obtained it, he promptly set off for Manila with money being his sole focus. He recklessly wasted away the inheritance on frivolities and even used it to entice a girl into eng
...aging in a sexual encounter.
The man believed he had impregnated the girl and thus married her. They now have a daughter and have been cohabiting for many years. However, the girl's boss eventually discovered their address and their living arrangement. Prior to being with the man, the girl had a romantic involvement with her boss but terminated it upon meeting her husband. This greatly infuriated her boss, who dedicated years to locating them. Once he ultimately found them, he visited their location and coerced the girl to depart with him. Despite his demands, she refused, prompting him to shoot her before dying himself in the process. The husband was left with a child who is not biologically related to him. At that moment, he realized his own discontentment and opted to reconcile with his fathe
and brother by returning to them.
Without hesitation, they wholeheartedly embraced the greatness of this story. It serves as a reminder to always seek solace in God when we stray from our path. Regardless of our actions, God is always willing to accept us; we just need to ask for His forgiveness and He will warmly welcome us.
Following God's path leads to receiving guidance and ultimately achieving success.
