The survey will yield a comprehensive analysis of factors driving their engagement and satisfaction levels, identify strengths and weaknesses, and assess the degree of alumni involvement according to various segments (e.g., class year, geographic location, activity level, etc.). This survey aims to provide a more detailed understanding beyond a simple percentage of satisfaction.
USD and the Alumni Association will use a measurement tool biennially to identify areas of progress and deficiencies through an online survey. The survey will be conducted by sending an email invitation to USD alumni
...'s email addresses and remain open for 2-3 weeks for them to provide ratings. The Alumni Office will opt for a professional, independent organization to conduct the survey instead of developing a brand-new tool.
Utilizing an independent organization will bolster the significance of the survey. Employing a survey created by alumni professionals nationwide over the last ten years will aid in comparing and establishing best practices. The detection of patterns and incentives will enhance targeting of programming and effective communication to deepen alumni engagement. Disseminating this information with campus administrators, faculty, and staff will assist in increasing exposure and backing for alumni engagement efforts.
