However, there has been a notable decline in the quantity of these vendors due to government initiatives aimed at tackling illegal hawking. This is primarily driven by concerns surrounding hygiene and environmental pollution, with the objective of preventing diseases like cholera and diarrhea. The presence of food vending invariably leads to waste build-up, which attracts rodents such as mice and rats.
