Executive Summary
My internship project is divided into three sections. There are Organization part, Project part and Analysis part in the project. In organization part, I tried to focus the different kinds of service of Mutual Trust Bank Ltd. And I tried to relate their services with the theories. For completing my analysis part, I have done questionnaire survey among the Customers of Mutual Trust Bank Ltd. I have collected data from them.
I tried to keep all the data confidential that I collected from our respondents. Survey method was cost efficient and convenient. As I have collected information from going to individual or by mail, there is a less chance of getting wrong information. I have used SPSS 14.
0 to analyze our data. In questionnaire I have 15 questions in total. I have used frequency distribution, histogram, pie chart, cross tab, and ANOVA
... and regression analysis. My research result for this project after all the analysis is that the Customers are satisfied with the services provided by Mutual Trust Bank Ltd.
History of the Banking Industry in Bangladesh
The banking system at independence consisted of two branch offices of the former State Bank of Pakistan and seventeen large commercial banks, two of which were controlled by Bangladeshi interests and three by foreigners other than West Pakistanis.
There were fourteen smaller commercial banks. Virtually all banking services were concentrated in urban areas. The newly independent government immediately designated the Dhaka branch of the State Bank of Pakistan as the central bank and renamed it the Bangladesh Bank. The bank was responsible for regulating currency, controlling credit and monetary policy, and administering exchange control and the
official foreign exchange reserves.
