Other developing countries such as Mexico (21.5%) and China (12.7%) also fall short of Russian standards when it comes to tertiary education enrollment ratios (11% for India). In India, the education and social systems are harsh towards children, disregarding their emotions, opinions, and aspirations. From a young age, children face pressure to study intensely and those who do not perform well are labeled as unintelligent and excluded by both their parents and society. The favored method of learning in India is rote memorization, which limits independent thinking among children.In contrast,the American school system prioritizes nurturing individual abilities and encourages children to express themselves and their opinions early on.This has resulted in Americans excelling at effective self-expression compared to individuals from other countriesDespite the fact that outspoken students in the US tend to thrive academically and socially due to their articulate nature, there is a drawback. In contrast, the Indian education system does not require individual presentations before the entire class. Instead, collective reading aloud of books together as a class activity allows timid students to overcome their fear of public speaking. Individual speaking only occurs during oral exams with the teacher. Both systems have their merits - in India, being a good speaker does not necessarily hinder academic success; however, American students gain more confidence and become better at public speaking while Indian students struggle with expressing their opinions.
In the US, classroom discussions and questioning professors are encouraged; meanwhile, in India, professors are treated with utmost respect and may use their authority against disobedient students. During my

time teaching undergraduate students, I observed that their main focus was on exams rather than understanding concepts. Only a few motivated and intelligent students showed interest in learning the material. The majority of the class was primarily concerned about whether the topics discussed would be included in the final exam.This desire is understandable due to the aim of producing individuals who excel in specific job roles within the American college education system.The custom-designed factory-like operation trains engineers and workers for specific jobs, but they need extensive retraining for new tasks. In contrast, education systems in India (and Europe) prioritize teaching fundamental concepts and a wider range of knowledge. Graduates from these systems can pursue various job types rather than specializing in one occupation, although additional on-the-job training is still necessary to excel at a specific job. Students prefer clear and structured instruction with specific tasks and goals, which effectively prepares them for industry work, benefiting America's success. However, these students struggle to adapt quickly to industry changes and are not adequately prepared for graduate school. India's economic growth has been fueled by the services sector, particularly the thriving BPO/KPO sector. To maintain its advantage, India must enhance its capacity for higher education and technical training. It is noteworthy that Indian families currently spend $4 billion annually on sending their children abroad for higher education and technical training, highlighting the need for India to become a global hub in these fields. The challenge lies in expanding higher education capacities to meet both domestic and international demand.The rapid advancement of information engineering requires lifestyle changes to be considered when proposing curriculum modifications. Modern adults are skilled in

advanced technologies, such as e-marketing and online banking. It is crucial for commerce graduates to have current business knowledge. During a recent visit by Dr. Narasimha Rao, the Dean of Central Oklahoma University, he emphasized the importance of producing "Global Graduates". However, our business schools are not fully prepared for these changes, resulting in many students pursuing their graduate/post-graduate programs abroad. This indicates the necessity for a comprehensive overhaul of our curriculum so that graduates can effectively contribute to national productivity. The need for a curriculum that prepares students for future employment challenges is urgent. In today's economic environment, an interdisciplinary approach is necessary due to two significant developments: the growth of e-education through the Internet and the increasing influence of the World Trade Organization (WTO) on global economic trends.

INTERNET IN EDUCATION

The Internet has completely transformed access to information and revolutionized various aspects of society, including business operations and thinking patterns. Students now rely on the Internet to find study materials for their homework, reducing the time spent in libraries for research purposes.Online information can be accessed and utilized based on individual needs. In developed countries, internet research is seen as a vital tool in higher education courses. While traditional universities still conduct face-to-face lectures, they also offer online classes during summer breaks with communication options like chat rooms. Virtual classrooms and discussions provide more benefits compared to traditional interactions since they allow students and instructors from different parts of the world to engage with each other. This is especially important due to global trade agreements such as ASEAN, EU, and GATT shaping the global economy. As commerce becomes both easier and

more complex, it is crucial for our students to adapt to these trends in their future careers. Although our current business studies primarily focus on traditional concepts, changes are being made in our curriculum. For instance, undergraduate studies now include subjects like International Business Environment (IBE) which keep students updated with the latest developments in trade and commerce. It is essential to incorporate topics related to international advancements and their impacts on the global economy for a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.We have implemented the SFGC Pattern program at our institution to further develop undergraduates in business courses. This program includes workshops on Time Management and Career Guidance, which aim to keep students up-to-date with international business trends while cultivating a task-oriented mindset and reflecting on the purpose of their studies. Additionally, we have integrated Personality Development into the curriculum to facilitate a seamless transition into corporate culture for students from rural backgrounds. US Taxation is also offered as a subject to prepare students for positions in the growing BPO sector and potential assignments abroad.

To enhance management skills among BBM and B.Com students, we have established a Management Forum that organizes diverse programs. These programs include competitions such as Product Launch, Case Studies, Group Discussions, Chart and Model Making. We often arrange model product launches to give students a realistic experience of launching a new product and help them understand the necessary preparations. The Management Forum acts as a connection between the current curriculum and the latest developments in the business world.The Case Study method promotes students' research perspective, while Group Discussions help build their confidence to express viewpoints in front of a group.

The Chart and model-making activity enhances creativity, and Business Quizzes expand general knowledge. Our institution believes active participation in seminars and management competitions outside of campus is crucial. With support and encouragement from our institution, many participants emerge as winners in these competitions. Furthermore, we are partnering with Oklahoma Central University to expand our campus boundaries for the benefit of our students. This international relationship allows faculty and students to enhance their knowledge through programs like student exchange, semester abroad opportunities, and faculty exchange. These initiatives focus on globalizing the curriculum by exchanging ideas with international counterparts. To understand current global trends and meet international demands, we visit other campuses to familiarize ourselves with their business-oriented curriculum. Additionally, research studies have been integrated into our undergraduate business program to help students understand various aspects of business. The university is also incorporating recent developments such as severe economic recession and global retrenchment into its curriculum changes.The institution's management has made continuous efforts to improve its ranking among similar establishments, resulting in positive outcomes. This is evident from the recent accreditation upgrade by NAAC, which focuses on student-oriented systems. The text aims to enhance instruction and engagement within the system through tutorials, competency-building activities, mentoring, module development plans, and support systems. These measures aim to promote the growth of skilled alumni in technical fields. It is crucial for faculty members to wholeheartedly endorse these changes and play a vital role in inspiring and encouraging students while providing input and appropriate curriculum guidance. Our goal is to be inspiring instructors who foster research and development in students while closely observing the business environment.

Addressing the multicultural nature of today's business environment can be achieved by including more international and modern subjects. Providing individuals with more opportunities for personal development will enable them to present themselves as confident professionals. Considering curriculum changes, it would be beneficial to incorporate input from successful alumni.In addition, it is crucial to foster children's ability to voice their thoughts early on. The present-day demands of society necessitate revising and overhauling our curriculum to align with worldwide developments. The notion of work has significantly transformed as numerous companies now operate on an international level. The requirement for curriculum redesign stems from the insufficient skills possessed by university graduates in this global economy, which no longer revolves solely around one country's consumer market. Emerging Asian economies like India exhibit promising indicators within the global economy, providing an enticing prospect for potential business graduates to contemplate and ponder upon.
