What is Networks?
A network is a system of interconnecting computers, communication devices and other hardware systems that are connected and able to exchange data. Networks can range from small local area networks (LANs) in a single building or organization, to larger wide area networks (WANs) connecting multiple buildings or organizations across cities, states, and even countries. The internet is the largest example of a WAN because it connects people all around the world.Networks allow users to share resources such as files, printers, software applications and internet access. In addition to sharing resources, networks also enable communication between two or more users by providing methods for sending emails and instant messages. By making use of networking technology, businesses can create virtual offices with remote workers accessing information from anywhere in the world. In today’s world of technology-driven business environments and cloud computing services becoming more popular in both public and private sectors alike; having an efficient network is essential for staying productive and competitive. It’s important for businesses to plan their networking architecture carefully by selecting the right equipment needed for their individual needs like routers/switches/firewalls etc., while also considering scalability options so as not to limit future growth potential. Businesses should also be aware of security threats when using public networks as malicious agents can sometimes gain access to sensitive information which could be detrimental if stolen or used against them. Overall networks play an important role in our lives today; whether you’re at home streaming movies on Netflix or at work collaborating with colleagues on projects having reliable network infrastructure ensures everything runs smoothly.
