What is Mechanical Engineering?

Mechanical engineering is a broad field of engineering that focuses on the design, fabrication and maintenance of mechanical systems. In addition to designing parts and products, mechanical engineers may be responsible for testing prototypes in order to ensure accuracy in construction before mass production begins. They may also write reports detailing their findings during tests so other departments within the company can evaluate results accurately. Additionally, some mechanical engineers work with research teams in order to develop new technologies related to their field such as robot arms for industrial applications or autonomous robots for consumer use. As industries become more complex due advances in technology over time so does the role of a mechanical engineer; because these professionals need strong problem solving skills along with knowledge in multiple disciplines like mathematics and physics they continue remain highly sought after professionals all over world .
