Knowing all this information can go a long way towards protecting yourself from unlawful searches conducted by police officers who are trying to bypass proper legal procedures. 5. Learn About Your Employment Rights Every employee should have some basic understanding of their employment rights so they can ensure they’re treated fairly in the workplace , especially when it comes to wages , overtime , vacation days , sick leave , benefits , safety regulations etcetera.
