What is American History?
American History is filled with a multitude of noteworthy events, battles, and changes that have helped shape the country as we know it today. From the American Revolution to the Industrial Revolution to the civil rights movement, American History has been marked by moments of great triumph and great tragedies. The American Revolution was a war fought between Great Britain and its Thirteen Colonies in America from 1775 to 1783. It resulted in the establishment of an independent United States of America and set in motion a series of political changes that would eventually lead to modern democracy. The Declaration of Independence was written in 1776 and declared that all men are created equal with certain unalienable rights including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This document not only split away from British rule but also set forth ideals which continue to inspire people around the world today. The Industrial Revolution changed America drastically as factories began producing goods on a large scale for much cheaper prices than ever before. This allowed for increased production speed and better consumer options.
