Strategic Planning for the Implementation of New Systems in the IT Department Essay Example
Why the IT department, like a vendor, should convince policy makers to purchase systems which are not of its immediate concern?
For the advancement and benefit of any given organization, the information technology systems must be structured appropriately to create an efficient data flow. The strategic planners usually conduct a series of evaluation and analysis that is essential in assessing the potentials of the business (Stenzel, & Bill, 2011). When proper systems are in place, the organization can utilize the available resources to dominate the market. It is the role of the strategic planners to convince the decision makers of the firm on the benefits of implementing new systems in the IT department. There are various benefits that the company will usually attain from this move, and therefore, it should be adequately considered.

...the firm should create an adequate financial information that will indicate the current economic Statius of the organization and its potential to purchase the new systems. After evaluation of the financial condition of the firm, the policy makers will them have to develop decisions based on the information that they have been provided.
How sacrifices will be made to accommodate these two contrasting views of the corporation or agency. In making a strategic management decision, it is always difficult to establish the best course of action. It is always advisable for the firm to accept to forego other decisions and undertake the most important ones that require immediate concerns. This step will allow the company to build a strong base of action that will enable them to implement the right systems at the most suitable time. A great sacrifice is always assured
to the people, and the organization will not at the same time be able to implement the given alternatives.
