Specialization Of Mathematics For Economic Analysis Essay Example
After thoroughly analyzing the present economic conditions for a span of four months, I have found that my decision to pursue a mathematics major has been influenced. By consistently monitoring financial and economic reports in the Wall Street Journal, I have observed that experts and scholars predict fluctuations in the current and upcoming economic situation (Wall Street Journal, 2010, pp. 12-16). Mathematics provides the most appropriate discipline for addressing these challenges. The concepts of measurement and expectation in mathematics can be effectively utilized as practical tools. Moreover, since June 2010, I have been interning at AXA, a financial firm.
The financial advisors at my college utilize mathematical expectation in their work, which has piqued my interest in delving deeper into this subject. Through an internship, I have acquired practical knowledge and developed a newfound appreciation

Being an international student, I believed that becoming a CPA would improve my chances in the job market of the United States. My inclination is to understand and establish rules instead of simply abiding by them.
Realizing the importance of mathematics, I decided to change my major to Actuarial Science last semester. Unfortunately, my current school does not offer the advanced-level mathematics classes that I wish to pursue. Therefore, I am seeking to transfer to the University of Illinois Urbana
Champaign, which provides a comprehensive selection of mathematics classes relevant to my studies. My goal is to transfer into the Actuarial Science program, and I am proud to have received an A grade in all my mathematics classes thus far.
