Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. For those of you who do not know me, I am Morris Charles. It is a privilege to speak to you about my vision for America and I am honored. Thank you very much for your time. Our country has come to a crossroad and the power to change the social and economic status of our country lies with you. I am a simple man with a Stanford degree and a solid understanding of how leadership should be carried out. My father taught me when I was young that people should learn to agree or disagree with what they listen to. It is now my wish that you will be the judge to what I talk about.
To begin with, I admit that every citizen should receive a reasonable pay that will sustain them without struggling to survive in their particular places of work .In this
...regard, I will ensure that the minimum wages of all part time workers for instance restaurant workers, retail business workers, and fast food workers is raised to fifteen dollars. For soldiers, emt’s, doctors ,nurses and all the other workers in the health and military sectors, their salaries will be increased to twenty five dollars.
We need everyone to get educated with fees not being a barrier to quality education. Therefore I will propose new legislations which will ensure that public colleges are free. College tuition will be reduced to three thousand dollars for public schools as well as communal universities. You will agree with me that in countries like Sweden, Finland, Chile, Norway, and Germany where free tuition is offered, education is accessible by many resulting
to competent workforce .I propose that there will be a slight levy on every stock, bond or derivative vended in this country by Wall Street so that we can channel that revenue to funding college tuition.
Pollution is rampant in our country. I intend to make policies which ensure that industries produce bottles that can be recycled to reduce discarding of disposable ones. I will ensure that the city council collects garbage from homes and this will eliminate garbage bags leading to less damping. Energy efficiency will be increased so that greenhouse gas emission to the atmosphere will be reduced. I will see to it that there are rules which industries should follow in managing the emission of gases by preparing yearly gas inventories as well as setting long-term targets to reduce emissions. As a result a clean sustainable energy will be attained with reduction on climate changes.
On the subject of LGBTQA community, I strongly believe that they have equal rights with the other citizens and I will make it mandatory for everybody to sign the equality law so that they are not undermined or demoralized at their places of work. They should access all the services they require with no discrimination at all. Bulling in schools has a long history but under my leadership policies will be put in place to curb it and drastic measures be taken to the offenders.
For this country to be developed, our people must be in good health. A healthy nation can only be achieved if prescription drug prices are lowered hence be affordable to everyone. I plan to negotiate with the government of Canada on a suitable deal of
importing drugs to this country at reduced prices. For seniors with low income I will have them be considered and their prices on drugs cut. I will consult the centralized governments so that we can see through the elimination of generic drugs.
Let us take actions that will see people live comfortable lives with a better tomorrow. You all know that promises have been made before with no actions but I will make it happen now. Let us make good decisions for our children and our children‘s children so that they will be proud of the choice we make today. Kindly give me your votes and I will ensure that justice prevails and your issues will be addressed when at the right time.
