I am passionate about being a PA and you will find that I will bring that passion to the program. When I believe in something I will be an advocate of it. As I become involved in the program I will promote it and become an advocate while during the program and after.

-Born and raised in the RGV in Edinburg. I first became interested in medicine in the 8th grade, when our teacher's husband, who was a pharmacist, came to tell us about his job. I applied to a magnet hs, South Texas High for Health Professions, and was accepted. It was there where my interest for the healthcare field developed. I enjoyed the health science courses I took. I remember sitting through 1.5 hr lectures absorbing every last iota of information. I recall going home so excited to tell my parents what I had just learned about the body systems. I was always surprised about how much information I retained. I transferred to a Edinburg North High School, where my passion for science was cultivated by my pre-AP chemistry instructor, Mr. Medrano

When I started school I was also snowboarding professionally. I would attend in the fall and as soon as it started snowing around the country I found myself traveling. I missed multiple finals. The reality was I didn't have the maturity to understand how important my grades would be in the future. However as I went back to school to finish my undergrad and work on my pre-reqs for PA, I met with a counselor and was aware how high my grades would need to be in order to be appealing to a program. I finished my bachelors with a 3.76 and at this point have a science GPA of 3.65
