The performance of employees in each organization is greatly depended on the organization culture that the management has implemented. Google has been on the forefront in trying to implement an organizational culture that ensures all employees are satisfied and work towards achieving the mission of the organization. Google Inc has been ranked the best workplace for seven years consecutively for the past ten years by the Fortune Magazine (Fortune Magazine, 2016). The reality about its success is because Google promotes a working environment governed by pro-social behaviors thus giving for both the employees and the society.
The company has not only given its workers an adorable reward in terms of salary, but it has also provided some allowances that these employees enjoy in return to being loyal to the firm. Positive deviance in Google is evident through the company’s st
...rong culture as well as its dedication towards supporting the employee satisfaction (Google Company, n.d). In this case, the unique leadership that the company has facilitates all the attributes that lead to the firm adopting positive deviance. Furthermore, through closely analyzing the ethics and behavior code that governs the company in relation to its employees, it is clear that the amplifying effect is clearly noted. The ethos observed by the company ensures that the employees co-exist in an holistic setting and everyone is respected regardless of his/her rank in the leadership hierarchy (Noviantoro, 2014). Further, employee happiness is an essential ingredient that Google has strive to achieve by not only fulfilling the needs within the workplace but it also extends it social help to the lives of its workers outside the firm thus improving employee satisfaction.
In this
case, the management is also keen to strike a balance between its business development and employee welfare therefore operating in a conscious capitalism approach. Many employees have wished to work in an environment that Google provides to its workers thus making the company rank the best in terms of supporting employee welfare.
