And, a woman who fights through a drug addiction or other social problem should be considered as important as a woman who cures cancer, Shriver argues.

The key, she said, to being a strong and valuable woman is to take the hand you are dealt and make the most of it.  The measure of woman should be in who she is, not what she has done.
