Cloud computing is an emerging technology from which many different industries and individuals can greatly benefit. Cloud computing services certainly have the potential to benefit both providers and users. The use of cloud computing is particularly appreciated to users because it is rather inexpensive and it is very convenient. Users can access data or use applications with only a personal computer and internet access.

Cloud computing is in many ways works with several efferent computing technologies and concepts like grid computing, fertilization.

Currently, in the traditional Poi technology the information being on a single server can cause several problems like data availability and integrity, security. It turns out to be expensive to resolve these, as money needs to be spent on hosting software, applications and people with the requisite expertise. On

...

the other hand Cloud Computing is less expensive because of its financial benefits. Assuming that the hardware equipments can encounter several malfunctions, in a time when the revise' quality is extremely important, the information needs to be available in real time.

The traditional approach is to invest in a large number of equipments in order to avoid the loss of call and provide a correct functionality of the telephony service. However, these long term investments may be Justified but at a closer analysis we can find that those equipments are not using all their resources. It is been statistically proven that most of the servers' hardware will never be fully used and as time passes they will be replaced due to moral and physical degrading. Cloud imputing can solve all these aspects.

By innovation and a perfectible degree of security, Poi industry i

consolidating is market place, frightening to be able soon to take the place of conventional solutions (expensive, insecure and inflexible). Cloud computing allows to create inexpensive systems, with little upfront costs and to be scaled to massive sizes, when needed. INFO 614 - Distributed Computing and Networking 4 Company Profile Celluloid is a Virtual company focused on hosted Poi phone systems. The modern business enterprise needs an affordable phone system that is reliable, high quality, ND feature-rich.

Our Poi offerings eliminate the costs and complexity of managing your phone systems in house and create a seamless environment for voice, e-mail, video, and messaging. We are focused on offering a POI Cloud solution for all types of businesses.

Our cloud-based solutions allow businesses to work the way they want to, while connecting them to their customers and integrating their business-critical applications. About Company The main focus for the company is to provide solutions to centralize everything IT related into one place; putting more material on the internet and less on PC's and rivers run by your company.

The maintenance burden of servers and applications is taken away from the business, freeing up time and resources for other areas. Below are the benefits for the small scaled companies which can take their concerns over security, cost and really make a difference to their business.

- Free communication [4] Cloud computing offers several advantages by enabling voice over Internet Protocol (Poi). Volt-to-Volt calls are always free, whether between two employees of the same company or from one company to another. Not only that, but it is still free when ailing someone on the other side of the world,

supporting the global economy.

Calls are only charged for if they leave the internet circuit - for example, Poi to landmine calls. - Poi-focused broadband [4] Cloud and Poi are leading-edge technologies that go hand in hand. A common concern when considering signing up for Poi is the fear that telephony will be lost every time there is internet downtime, or that sound quality will become poor at peak times.

Internet service providers offer Poi-friendly broadband that creates the perfect connection for Poi users by proportioning voice data over regular data, slowing own your Youth videos instead of your business calls.

This gives you a business grade internet connection to match the business-grade phone line. A cloud computing service can also offer reliability and resilience, with back-up lines which are considered best practice anyway. The cost and use of resources are greatly reduced. Through an agreement with a cloud provider, it is possible to store all data at a single location or decanter, increasing data security. - Distributed Computing and Networking INFO 614 5 - Cloud Computing into Poi Communications is the one enabler of doing things in your life; it extends from the vying room to the boardroom.

The telephone is the good way to talk to people without having offered those drinks. Decades pass away the technology changes are made in the communication system the different protocols are implemented for the communication. Poi is one kind of communication protocol that helps to provide the transmission techniques involved in the delivery of voice communication and multimedia session over Internet Protocol network. Poi commonly known as Internet Telephony; IP telephony Poi started in February of

1995 by a small company in Israel called Vocalist, Inc.

Their product, Internet Phone, allowed one user to call another user via their computers, a microphone and a set of speakers. With technology advancement over the years, Poi added more features, services and flexibility in the hands of user.

Figure 1 shows in general Poi Service Architecture. Figure 1: Poi Service Architecture [1] Though there were significant benefits compared to the legacy phone systems (EST.), still it lacks the some of the core ingredients like interoperability issues between different protocols, applications, or products, Quality of Service issues, geographically bread out servers all over the world.

To overcome these kinds of pitfalls in the Poi technology the cloud computing INFO 614 - Distributed Computing and Networking 6 comes in the picture. The servers are integrated on the signal cloud that helps organization or communication companies to transfer the voice or data over internet in less expensive and reliable manner. Figure 2: Routing call through IP using Cloud [2] Cloud based Poi is a growing reality for operators, consumers and regulators, with strong growth by all metrics.

In the traditional Poi network, to transport voice over a ATA network, the human voice must be "picketed". All the voices that are transfer over the network are route through different servers that automatically increases the cost of communication and decreases the graph of quality of services that Poi defined. The cloud computing services helps to deploy the application used over the cloud that helps to provide the good quality service to transfer the voice over the network. The term cloud is referred as a "Collection".

Due to that feature

the transmission of the voice over Figure 3: Performance Graph [5] means all the servers those who participated o transfer the voice are integrated on the single cloud and then rout toward its destination. 7 2. Cloud Computing Architecture [1 5] Cloud computing is quickly becoming one of the most popular new ideas that will supposedly reshape the information technology (IT) services landscape. In order to define cloud computing, it is first necessary to explain what is referenced by the phrase "The Cloud".

Cloud provides resource-sharing environments to enable sharing in terms of scalable and flexible infrastructures, middleware and application development platforms, and business enterprises. The application, software, management resources are integrated over the cloud; the cloud may be the public or private that helps end user, IT operators to access that cloud through high speed networks. The cloud is sold on demand typically by the minute or the hours and gives the innovation in the distributed computing.

The term Cloud Computing refers to both the applications delivered as services over the Internet and the servers and system software in the data centers that provide those services. Cloud computing is in many ways a conglomerate of several different computing cosmologies and concepts like grid computing, fertilization, Service oriented Architecture (SO) , peer-topper (APP) computing . Cloud computing consist of 5 abstraction layers: Figure 4 illustrates the five layers that constitute cloud computing.

A particular layer is classified above another if that layer's services can be composed of services provided by the layer beneath it. The bottom layer is the physical hardware, namely the owned servers and switches that serve as the cloud's backbone. The next

layer consists of the cloud's software kernel. This layer acts as a bridge between the data processing performed in the laud's hardware layer and software infrastructure layer, which operates the hardware.

The abstraction layer above the software kernel is called software infrastructure.

This layer renders basic Figure 4: Abstraction Layers of Cloud Computing [3] network resources to the two layers above it in order to facilitate new cloud software 8 environments and applications that can be delivered to end-users in the form of IT services. The services offered in the software infrastructure layer can be separated into three different subcategories: computational resources, data storage, and communication. Computational resources, also called Infrastructure as a Service (alas), are available to cloud customers in the form of virtual machines (Vim).

Voice over Internet Protocol (Poi) telephones, instant messaging, and audio and video conferencing are all possible services which could be offered by AAAS. All of three software infrastructure subcomponents, cloud-customers can rent virtual server time (and thus their storage space and processing power) to host web and online gaming servers, to store data, or to provide any other service that the customer desires. Communication-as-a-Service (AAAS) [10] AAAS is an outsourced enterprise communications solution.

Clouds will provide management of hardware and software required for delivering Voice over IP (Poi) services, Instant Messaging (IM), and video conferencing.

Cloud Poi are responsible for all of the hardware and software management consumed by their user base. Cloud Poi will typically offer guaranteed quality of service (So) under a service-level agreement (SLAM). A AAAS model allows a AAAS provider's business customers to selectively deploy communications features and services throughout their company on a

pay-as-you-go basis for service(s) used.

AAAS is designed on a utility-like pricing model that provides users with comprehensive, flexible, and (usually) simple-to-understand service plans. According to Garner, the AAAS market is expected to total $2.

3 billion in 2011, representing a compound annual growth rate of more than 105% for the period. AAAS offers flexibility and scalability that small and medium-sized business might not otherwise be able to afford. AAAS service providers are usually prepared to handle peak loads for their customers by providing services capable of allowing more capacity, devices, modes or area coverage as their customer demand necessitates.

Network capacity and feature sets can be changed dynamically, so functionality keeps pace with consumer demand and provider-owned resources are not wasted.

From the service provider customer's perspective, there is very little to virtually no risk of the service becoming obsolete, since the provider's responsibility is to perform periodic upgrades or replacements of hardware and software to keep the platform technologically current. With a AAAS solution, customers of Celluloid are able to leverage enterprise-class communication services without having to build a premises-based solution of their win. This allows those customers to reallocate budget and personnel resources to where their business can best use them. 3. Advantages/Benefits of Implementing AAAS model for Clouds From the handset found on each employee's desk to the PC-based software client on employee laptops, to the Poi private backbone, and all modes in between, every component in a AAAS solution is managed 2417 by the Clouds.

As we said previously, the expense of managing a carrier-grade data center is shared across the Clouds customer base, making it more economical for businesses

to implement AAAS than to build heir own Poi network. Figure 2 gives anaphoric view of the advantages of a hosted approach for Clouds - Figure 5: Benefits of Clouds systems [6] Customers/Operators/Enterprise will get the most benefits by adopting Clouds solution [10]- Hosted and Managed Solutions AAAS delivers a complete communications solution that is entirely managed by a Clouds.

Along with features such as Poi and unified communications, the integration of core POX features with advanced functionality is also managed, and as a result responsible for all of the integration and delivery of services to users. Fully Integrated, Enterprise-Class Unified communications Clouds provides voice and data access and manage LILLIAN, security, routers, email, voice mail, and data storage.

Due to management of LILLIAN, it can guarantee SO from client's network or user's desktop and back.

Features include: - Chat Multimedia conferencing Real-time presence Video calling Soft phones NO CAPE Customers pay a fee (usually billed monthly) for what they use and are not required to purchase equipment, hence no capital outlay. Bundled in the services, the ongoing maintenance and upgrade costs. Flexibility Capacity and Feature Set Customer has to pay for the features they need and the cost can be distributed across large consumer base. Due to share feature functionality more economical for customers to implement and also not tied up with any single vendor.

No Facilities and Engineering Costs Incurred Clouds host all of the equipment needed to provide services, hence virtually eliminating the need for customers to maintain data center space and facilities.

Hence there is no extra expense for the constant power consumption. Customer will receive multi carrier graded data centers

with full redundancy. 11 No Risk of Obsolescence Clouds absorb the burden for the user by continuously upgrading the equipment as per the technology trend, new feature enhancement or software patches to meet the changing demands in the marketplace.

Access to Services those are otherwise unavailable. In some circumstances, a service-provider may offer a new or exclusive capability - although this is likely to be the case only during a limited period of time, since most such services are, at least in principle, compatible. A more common situation is that some organizational users, and especially many individual users, may be technically r financially incapable of establishing and running a particular service for themselves Access to Service from multiple desktop devices.

Each user, whether within an organization or acting as an individual, is likely to use multiple desktop devices, in various locations, including at home, at work, at clients' sites, in airport lounges, in Internet cafes, etc. By using authoritative data running on a remote device, the user reduces device-dependence in exchange for increased network access dependence. In many circumstances, the trade-off may be advantageous Access to Services from scaled-down devices A service may perform the vast majority of the function server-side, enabling the client to be run on a device with very limited capacity.

This opens up scope for long- promised but little- used 'thin clients', but the primary devices used are more likely to be various forms of handheld computers and mobile phones. This depends, however, on the service being designed with this aim in mind.

So, all in all Clouds is responsible for all upgrades and management of the hardware and software. Typically,

Clouds will charge an initial set-up fee for installation and project management to initiate the service, and an ongoing monthly securing fee for features, network and usage [As, explained in TCO sheet of section].
