With the progression of technology, there comes a price. In this modern age dominated by advanced technology, countless video games have emerged as a fresh source of amusement in our day-to-day existence. Violent video games serve as a particularly evident example. The growing amount of time children spend on playing these games has raised worries among parents, primarily because of the adverse impacts associated with them. Parents are concerned that excessive gaming may result in lower grades due to distraction and heightened aggression following exposure to violent content. Consequently, if parents disregard the potential harm and permit their children to engage in violent gameplay, it can significantly impact their mental well-being.

and subsequently exhibit violent behavior in real life is due to parental neglect. In today's society, parents are often preoccupied with their careers, leaving their children unattended and lacking affection in the pursuit of material success.

When children are left alone, they tend to play violent games to entertain themselves in idle moments. However, most of those games mainly cater for adults who know how to differentiate fantasy and real life. Those underage children and teenagers are just too simple-minded and immature at this learning stage. Apart from that, children are easily influenced by any outside elements especially those violent video games. Most often, when they are addicted to action

The rise in popularity of games such as Grand Theft Auto (GTA) and Call of Duty, which revolve around military themes, contributes to the promotion of gangsterism. These games instill the belief that violence is the sole solution for all problems. However, young individuals can counteract this negative influence by actively engaging in healthy activities like sports and volunteerism, both of which have proven benefits. The behavior of parents plays a significant role in shaping their children's values and attitudes as they serve as role models. Therefore, it is crucial for parents to prioritize their children's well-being and pay closer attention to their needs.

Parents should closely monitor the games their children play and suggest strategy-focused games for their leisure time. According to Rooservelt (n.d.), "we may not be able to prepare the future for our children, but we can at least prepare our children for the future." It is essential for parents to keep this in mind and remain vigilant. Furthermore, it is vital for parents to prioritize spending quality time with their children by organizing a family day aimed at fostering strong relationships and open communication among family members. This way, parents can guide their children both physically and mentally.

Insufficient parental attention puts children at a higher risk of being influenced by external psychological factors, including violent games impacting their behavior. Nowadays, both teenagers and children devote an increasing amount of their free

time to playing computer games without considering the potential impact on their mental health. Technological advancements have allowed game developers to create remarkably lifelike games that cannot be dismissed. However, every aspect of this realm has its pros and cons. The negative effects of engaging in violent computer games will harm our teenagers, especially children. If parents prohibit children from playing computer games out of addiction concerns, it may result in rebellion.

In a study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, researchers from Dartmouth University analyzed 24 studies conducted between 2010 and 2017. The studies involved over 17,000 participants aged nine to 19 and focused on examining the influence of violent computer games on real-world behavior among children and teenagers, specifically aggression levels such as physical altercations. Over periods ranging from three months to four years, the researchers observed the participants to assess the effects of playing violent computer games.

Playing computer games is not inherently negative if individuals manage their time and emotions effectively. According to Kohl (n.d.), the creation of violent video games cannot be banned, but their distribution to children can be prevented in order to mitigate potential negative effects. However, some argue that violent computer games do not increase real-life aggression; instead, they aid in stress reduction for individuals dealing with pressures from school or work. When faced with anxiety, some people find relief by immersing themselves in the virtual world of shooting and slashing.Nowadays, action games have become popular among people, especially the younger generation and those who love adventure and violent games.

The current most popular violent games are "Battle Royale" style

games such as "PUBG" and "Free Fire", as well as strategy games like "League of Legend" and "Dota", or a combination of both in games like "Fortnite". These violent computer games can enhance precision and split-second thinking skills, even in real life. Playing these games is enjoyable and stress-free, fostering bonding among players with friends or family. Colleges now offer scholarships and prizes for eSports teams, providing gaming computers to all members. This opportunity attracts more individuals to join eSports teams, thereby creating a potentially lucrative career path for players and colleges alike.

However, this is a weak argument. This is because violent computer games can lead to sudden bursts of anger, especially when players face consecutive losses. This happens because as individuals spend more time playing the game, they enhance their skills and compete against stronger adversaries in order to achieve victory. The longer we engage in the game, the more intense our reactions become due to multiple defeats.

The frustration of repeated losses in a game or inability to defeat a boss can cause individuals to lose control, leading them to damage their computer or gaming laptop. Some may even resort to throwing their entire computer out of the window as a way to alleviate their frustration. Therefore, it is undeniable that violent computer games contribute to violent behavior. This is partly attributed to neglectful parents who permit their children's addiction to violent games, ultimately influencing their mindset. Moreover, people are dedicating increasing amounts of time playing computer games. Studies have established a connection between violent computer games and the aggression exhibited by

individuals.

Even if parents are busy, they should make an effort to prioritize their children and be present in their lives. It is crucial not to let work completely consume them. Rather than solely focusing on the potential real-life violence associated with computer games, we need to question why there isn't intervention for those addicted to violent games.
