Diversity in an organization's workforce may stem from a variety of factors, such as differences in personalities, opinions, age, educational attainment, status, and culture. However, studies show that in many business companies, diversity primarily results from the presence of individuals belonging to distinct races working together (Riddle, 2001, p.4). The root cause of this phenomenon is the influx of immigrants who have chosen to work and settle in foreign lands. Consequently, employing a multicultural workforce has become a means of supporting the livelihood of these immigrants and achieving success in new places (Riddle, 2001, p. ).

The topic of managing individuals from diverse backgrounds is a prevalent concern for businesses across various industries. According to Martinez (1998), this has been a significant issue addressed by human resources departments. Management teams often face difficulties with handling diversity, but as John Riddle (2001) suggests, it is important for effective managers to consider such factors even before joining an organization.

Although it is impossible to eliminate workforce diversity, there are solutions to address the issue. Regardless of their differences, all members of a company's workforce share the common ground of being human beings, which can facilitate effective management.
