In our contemporary world, the issue of environment is proving to be a crucial one for our success and a major concern all over the world. Our surrounding that constitute the environment is being polluted each and every day at an alarming rate. In line with this, there is a need to cope with this current state of the worldwide environmental so as to arrest the situation as it proves to be heading to bring an extinction of the human race if not stopped.

“Environmental Science” which is a book authored by Cunningham addresses the various changes that are happening around our beloved environment every day. Mr. William Cunningham has done a marvelous job to depict a general picture in a descriptive manner, and secondly he also goes into details to discuss various changes that are occurring to the present world. One of the environmental issues that has been addressed by this book is the theme of global perspective.

The concept of global perspective in the broader sense can be understood to mean the essence of taking a wider and more crucial view that is based on our experience, the knowledge and the learning activities that incorporate the self-seeking to understand the connections between the trees and the global warming throughout the world (Hornborg, 2015).

The issue of global perspective has been affecting both our local and the global community in the following manner: it enables the society whether at the local or global scene to the essence of developing various skills, attitudes and also the values that are important when working together, that is to mean

among different countries and cultures aimed at bringing the desired change that is required for the attainment of a just and sustainable globe, the world where people will be empowered and also resources will be distributed equally. Other helpful implications that have been brought about by the issue of perceptive global include; the development of the global perspective is aimed at enabling folks to understand the connections between their lives and the lives of other people across the globe. A global perspective can also be lauded for increasing the economics, social and the political forces that shape the life of an individual.
The understanding of the sustainable development has been part of the know-how that is crucial for a global citizen, as it will help him to understand the potential influence of the local activity on the worldwide and vice versa. This is a line with the things such as pollution, climatic change, and the exploration of the natural resources (Hornborg, 2015).

Either in the individual, community or at the national level, the issue of addressing the environmental problem has become an important factor to consider. The essence of finding solutions for these environmental problems is crucial due to the nature that they have to the three level impact and the interrelations they have with the socio-economic factors. Some of these environmental problems that are of great concerns include things such as solid and hazardous waste, deforestation, and the climatic change that results in loss of the biodiversity. individual level, these problems don’t recognize any political borders and in such they pose such a great threat to the human safety, our health and productivity capabilities. Appropriate measures are required to address these problems due to the threat that they pose to the human future. These measures include things like raising public awareness and also through their participation. This will involve all the sundry participation and cooperation among the citizens in conjunctions with the private sector, the non-governmental firms, and the civil society (Mowforth & Munt, 2015).
