Health is much more important than wealth. Without our health, we would not be able to make the money that makes us wealthy. It ceases to amaze me what lengths people will go to in order to make money, some legal, and some illegal.
If you are not healthy, what good is having a lot of money? If you have a deadly disease that there is no cure for, having tons of money is not going to do you any good, will it? Sure, you have lots of money to pass onto your loved ones, but do you really think that your loved ones only want your money, and not you, in their lives. I’m sure that this is the case in some situations, but not all.
Too many family members work 10, 12, even 14 hours
...a day. Where do they find the time to spend with their families? These people do not have the time they need to spend with their families to get to know them, as people. They don’t know what their child’s/children’s favorite things do are, or where they like to spend their time. They don’t know what sports their child/children likes to play, or watch. They don’t know whom their child/children like to hang out with, or go out with. They don’t know the day-to-day activities their family participates in.
Many people have money when they start out with their families; money has been handed down to them from their parent’s or grandparents. They do not know what it is to be poor. They don’t know what it is like to want something bad
enough to do anything in which to obtain such objects. These are the fortunate ones, but would they still be as fortunate if they did not have the quality of health that allows them to enjoy all that money, probably not.
You can have wealth, but without your health, your wealth does not do you any good. It may allow you to obtain the top-notch doctors, and the best private health care, but if you have a deadly disease, no amount of money is going to offer you a longer life span. You are only going to live as long as your disease allows you to.
There are many people that have never had enough money to live the kind of life they would like. They live from payday, to payday, as they say; but many of these people are as healthy as a horse, as they also say; and are able to go that extra mile in which to make the money that will allow them a better lifestyle, a little at a time.
I have never been of good health. I have always had to struggle to obtain the quality of life that I would like to have, but I know that it will never get any better. It would be nice to have a little more money to live on instead of my small pension I get, but I have learned to live with it, what else can I do? If I had the choice, I would give the government back their small disability pension, and go out, and work for a living, but I don’t have that choice,
so I make due with what I have, and I am still quite happy with my life. I would change a lot of things if I had the money, but like I said, I have learned to live with the way things are.
