The book that I read was Diary Of A Wimpy Kid written by Jeff Kinney it took me about two weeks to read. The book is a fictional story about a boy named Greg Heffley and how he started middle school. The main character in this story is Greg Heffley because it is his diary, day to day life of a young teenage boy. Through the book there is usually a lot of conflict between Greg and is older brother Rodrick and younger brother Manny such as fights ,arguments ect.

He also hangs out with his best friend Rowley and a lot in the story happens between them. Rowley is still very young at heart and Greg finds him quite childish, but he's his only good friend so they stick together. My favourite

character in this story is Greg he has a different personality he is a smart yet naive person and that is what appeals to me. The story is about the day to day life of Greg Heffley a young teenager who had just started middle school and his mum decided to buy him a diary to do something in his spare time.

The setting of this story is between school, Greg's house, Rowley's house and the streets, though most of the story is set at school and Greg's house. A very important incident in the story is when Rowley and Greg are out trick or treating, and a truck drives past with a person with a water pistol in the back and they squirt the boys so Greg in the moment says "Were calling the cops! ".

justify">Which later leads to Greg losing his friendship with Rowley and near the end of the story Rowley having to eat the mouldy cheese of the basketball court at their school. My Opinion of this story is very high I love this story it is funny and very interesting. Diary of a Wimpy Kid is the New York Times Bestseller and I can definitely see why the book was made for struggling readers and most often the book that struggling readers read. It is a great book and I would absolutely recommend this book to my friends.
