During Marcos' presidency, numerous laws were implemented, but the most impactful law for citizens was Martial law. This law imposed curfews and enforced military law and justice upon the population. Martial law remained in effect in the Philippines from September 21, 1972, until January 17, 1981. Consequently, this led to a division among the people with some supporting its implementation while others opposed it.

Some individuals backed Ferdinand Marcos, while others favored Corazon Aquino. Personally, I hold the belief that Martial law's implementation was warranted. Despite not having been alive during that period, I perceive it as beneficial for the Philippines. Martial law acted as a tool to quell uprisings and reinstate order in the nation.
