The textbook interprets – It literally cost the person offering forgiveness momentarily. It costs something because one has to commit to the notion that a person who is dragging him or her down, as it were, is more important than any kind of self-preservation.
We must recognize the person seeking forgiveness as more important than ourselves.
4. Describe the Christian view of salvation and how it differs from the views of other religions.
The Christian view of salvation is we can only be saved by faith in Jesus. NOT by works. Most religions are based on salvation through works.

6. Briefly summarize Isaiah 53:4-6.
-Jesus has taken our sin & shame through his death on the cross.
-Through his death, anyone who believes in Jesus has healing and forgiveness.

The mark of a Christian, is having love for one another.

-Christ dies once for ALL sin through his death

Thomas did not believe Christ has risen. Christ revealed himself to Thomas and Thomas believed. Jesus then said to Thomas, “Blessed are those who have not seen me yet believe me.” Today, we believe without seeing.
