Although she has not completely mastered emotional regulation, as is typical for a toddler, she has learned how to manage her emotions. It was evident that she had been taught emotional regulation when she became upset about her dog taking her place on the couch and was comforted by her mother, eventually calming down. Victoria is currently in Erikson's second stage of psychosocial development.

The concept of autonomy versus shame and doubt, as described in Wikipedia (2009), is applicable to Victoria's behavior. She appears to prefer acting independently without support from her parents or myself.

While observing, I sat with Victoria to read a book. She permitted me to read the initial portion. However, after that, she desired to hold the book, flip the pages and read aloud to me.

Victoria demonstrated her independence through various actions. She used the "big miss potty" and retrieved toilet paper from the roll, disposing of waste correctly in the larger toilet. Additionally, she attempted to put on her own socks and shoes. Victoria also exercised her autonomy by choosing a movie to watch, opening the DVD case and handing it to her father for insertion into the player. Based on these behaviors, I concluded that Victoria has notable levels of independence.

Despite the fact that the child's parents have divergent styles of parenting, she remains a robust individual with a resolute character and prospective triumph. The mother and father's dissimilar techniques do not appear to have resulted in any perplexity or detrimental consequences on her principles, regulations, or conduct.
