Relationships are considered ontologically basic to humanity, and identity can be understood through the relationships individuals have with each other in the world.

The concept of care ethics is widely applicable and important for the moral coexistence of humanity. It addresses the universal impulse of caring and decision-making in humans, thus contributing to morality and how humans interact with each other in society (Morrison, 2009). Care ethics can be used in various situations within human social life, and it challenges moral relativism by being evaluated similarly to virtue ethics globally. Therefore, care ethics is relevant for morality and other aspects of life that involve care. It can be regarded as a feminist approach to morality since feminist ethics aims to revise traditional ethics and devalue the marginalized experiences of women.

The virtue ethics approach is seen as feminist because it prioritizes men's issues and interests over those of women. It is rooted in traditional moral ethics, which defined women's roles as household wives responsible for caring for their families. While related, the ethics of care is not fully incorporated into virtue ethics. Another reason why virtue ethics is seen as feminist is the belief that men are more mature than women. This perspective clearly aligns with a feminist approach to morality. Thus, the ethics of care can be considered a feminist approach to morality when viewed in relation to virtue ethics (Morrison, 2009).
