and Social Care qualifications, a BA Honours degree in Criminology and Sociology, as well as Counselling skills at levels 2 and 3.

I have finished training in child protection and domestic violence and am currently taking a childminding (cypop5) course, which will finish in June 2013. I also intend to take a paediatric first aid course. With the training I have received, I feel confident about offering childcare services at my home. I will carefully organize and carry out appropriate activities for the children under my care.

In my role, I will ensure parents and organizations are informed and updated with relevant information. My main focus is creating a safe environment for children to thrive. In the future, I plan to provide school pick-up and drop-off services as an added offering. Additionally, I am seeking an assistant to assist me in fulfilling my duties.

Competitors

Other childminders who offer services like pick up and drop offs to local schools and clubs will also be my competitors.

Childminders who charge a lower hourly rate and don't demand a two-month deposit will also be regarded as competition. In terms of marketing, my aim is to target individuals in need of professional childcare services. I will reach my target audience through online advertising platforms such as Facebook and Net mums. Additionally, I will ensure that I am registered with the local authority and Ofstead. Moreover, I plan to attend local childminder drop-in groups in the Hayes area, where other childminders can refer my services.

I am willing to collaborate with various groups, including families in need identified by the local authority

and children with disabilities. This will broaden my target market and ultimately benefit my business. Additionally, I will reach out to and seek guidance from Early Years and schools improvement, Business Link, Health ; Safety Executive, Newly Self Employed Helpline, New Employers Helpline, Environmental health, Pacey, and the buddy program offered through Hillingdon local authority.
