The study investigates the extent and nature of mathematics anxiety in primary school teacher trainees in Malaysia, which derived from the opinion from the trainees; consist of their perceptions of mathematics, themselves with regard to mathematics (self-image), their feelings towards mathematics, and their behavior when doing mathematics. This study also aims to identify the factors that are associated with the mathematics anxiety thus the degenerateness relationship, teachers' style of teaching, examination pressure, parental and peer group influences were identified as the main factors contributing to it.

Under evidence, every teacher trainee who was interviewed are made up of: their past experiences, such as their experiences of learning mathematics; the effect on them of teacher-student relationships and their teachers' style of teaching mathematics; their parents' and peers' influences regarding the subject; and the pressure that is heavily put on them by examinations. As for the variables, there are number of types of evidence of attitudes towards mathematics were used.

The second chart is The Mathematics Anxiety Pattern which is a representation of the pattern which was feeling "poor in math", avoidance, fear, panic, worry, anxiety and unable to perform. As for conclusion for both chart, the third chart takes place when the combination between first and second chart been relates together towards the attitude towards thematic.

Comments on the article. This article had perked my interest on the anxiety of teacher trainees since I had the same experience once I become an educator last year. The anxiety becoming a teacher is a common thing when you are new in this industry.

Mathematics can be considered as one of the crucial subjects in any examination from any level and teaching this subject might give a slight anxiety for those who new in teaching them. From my point of view, the feeling of anxiety is not a problem if the trainees still can control the teaching situation and do not overwhelmed with negative thoughts due to heir anxiety.

The author should identify the level of anxiety among these trainees that will lead them on having the negative thoughts and attitude when teaching mathematics subject. She also needs to specify some past evidence regarding on the number of trainees that had given negative outcome towards student's results or performance in this subject in order to prove that the excessive anxiety will affect their students' performance. From the methodological part, there are several aspects that lacks in information.

I wonder if there is any difference on the level of anxiety between trainees located at urban and rural area of Malaysia since the number of students and the expectation of their parents might be differ on each area. However, the strategies use in the data gathering methods is brilliant due to its interview, questionnaire and observation towards the trainees. By using several data gathering methods, the results collected are sound and can be compared between them.

Finally, the things that I really love and learned from this article is the formation of here charts form by the data gathered. The formation is simply understandable and logical based on the response given by the trainees and I believe the coding for their responses had been done well due to its sound formation. However, it would be nice if there is other past theories that can be relate to the formation of the charts in order to strengthen the past evidence and the current research.

3 Defining Spellbinding: A Qualitative Research into the Perceptions of Youngsters By Hide Vandenberg and Katharine Van Clumped.

Summary. This study is aim to spark the development of a clear definition on spellbinding by resenting the results from a qualitative research into the experiences and views of youngsters regarding on this issue. This is due to several problems of scarce and inconsistent results come from previous spellbinding studies. The authors used focus group as their data gathering method in order to gain deeper insight into the perspectives

of youngsters with regard to spellbinding and to increase the interaction among youngsters about a conversation topic that is part of their everyday social life; namely, 'CT.

There are two hundred seventy-nine youngsters participated in the 53 focus groups that were organized in 17 classes of 0 different schools in order to reach a heterogeneous audience of youngsters thus obtaining a wide range of opinions about and experiences with spellbinding.

In their interviews, the authors a gentle approach: starting from youngsters' every day experiences with 'CT, they moved on to the topic of spellbinding and catered for general opinions about and personal experiences with this phenomenon.

From their findings, there are several new discoveries that come from the interviews. On the

other hand, several students stated that spellbinding was clearly different from teasing via the Internet or mobile phone when it comes to the perceptions on intended to hurt by the perpetrator.

The way in which Internet or mobile phone practices were actually perceived by the victims appeared to depend on the kind of practice and the relationship between the individuals involved and this is depend on how the student interpreted and feels about it. However, I do think that a face to face interview might also be suitable after the focus group for those who admit to get involve directly on spellbinding themselves. Face to face interview will gather more in depth data that the authors might not 5 get from the focus group as the method have several restraints such as shyness towards giving more information due to several people involve in one focus group interview. Based on the findings from this article, I do found that there are many interpretations on spellbinding and I conclude that the feeling of being bullied in he Internet is merely depends on the individual himself.

Therefore the perpetrators also can simply said that they do not commit any kind of bullied activities but cyber teasing and these situations come out with several definition of other terms instead of spellbinding itself, which are the cyber - teasing and cyber arguing which do not carry the bullied activities. However, from this article I found out that spellbinding happen under certain situations and circumstances which are the attention to hurt the other party, implied repetition, and can be done by individual or groups, anonymous or known by the other party.

In order to discover the factors that would overcome this problem, a semi-structured interview was conducted in this study by interviewing a married woman drawn from invention sampling.

Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (PAPA) was applied as a research method and sixteen categories emerged after coding the data were Understanding, Communication, Age Differences, Sincerity and Respect, Sharing, Forgiveness, Spouse Temperament, Strength through Children, Family Structure, Education and Status, and Positive In-Laws Relations. This study has important implications for married couples and counselors. From the findings, when a relationship is in its beginning phase, few aspects are more important than the others.

Firstly, family structure plays an important part in he beginning of a relationship.

When a girl comes to live in a new family set up she has to adjust too many things. The role of in-laws is also essential in giving a comfortable home environment to the girl. Showing sincerity and respect for your life partner also helps a marital relation to prosper as it helps in gaining trust. Spouse temperament may affect the relationship in the beginning as it may hinder or facilitate the healthy growth of a relationship.

With the passage of time people get used to each other's temperaments and develop an understanding of how to tackle moods of one another. In the beginning of a relationship woman usually feels insecure and seeks a sense of security through her

children but gradually as the relationship progresses the relation between spouses becomes strong.

Compromise is also important in the beginning. This gives relationship a chance to grow. If the couple starts fighting over their differences in the very beginning, the relationship may come to an end.

With the passage of time, partners accept each other's differences and compromise operates on automatic mode.

Importance of education and status is also undeniable because people usually prefer to marry 7 n educated person or a person of higher socio-economic status. Some aspects prove themselves to be important for a relationship. On the other hand, some aspects prove themselves to be important for a relationship in the long run. Most important of these aspects are trust and understanding.

When a couple gains each other's trust and develops a high level of understanding their relationship is generally full of happiness.

Age difference also affects the relationship in the long run as it becomes more pronounced with the passage of time. This results in the creation of new differences in a settled relationship. At this point the reaction of spouses towards these differences determines the course of relationship. Satisfaction of people with their marital relationship is also effective in the long run.

People usually spend the first phase of their relationship trying to understand each other and to get adjusted, it is only later that they begin to question how satisfied they are with their marriage.

Dissatisfaction may result in extramarital affairs that have catastrophic effects. Love and care also strengthen a relationship over time. Effect of communication also becomes visible over a period of time, good immunization between partners may

result in a strong relationship, however its absence may create many misunderstandings that would grow with the passage of time and may cause disastrous effects. Inter-sect marriages usually happen as a result of prior understanding and feelings of love between two people.

These people are in love so in the beginning of their marriage the differences in their sects hardly matter but as the time passes these sectarian differences begin to affect their relationship. Problems may arise regarding whose sect the children would follow. Relationship happy and long lasting. This article will inspire many people out there especially those who already get married in order to save their marriage. As in Malaysia, the rate of divorce among married people is high; this study could be a reference for marriage counselor and married people in strengthening their bond.

From the methodological view, the problem is on the sample. Only one woman had been interviewed and I believe that if the authors use more than one sample, they will get more accurate and reliable result as they need to include more participants from different cultures, age, views and etc. They may also consider the newlyweds and couples who had married for more than 20 years to get a better review. There will so much potentials if the authors use more than one participants in this study. Although there is only one answer, the respond given by this study participant is good and support the 'PA.

From my point of view, I totally agree with her respond regarding on Similarities of Religious Sects, Satisfaction, Compromise, Love, Care, Trust and Understanding, Communication, Sincerity and Respect, Sharing, Forgiveness, Spouse Temperament,

and Positive In-Laws Relations and I believe that Hess are the strongest factors to build a happy marriage.

However, Age Differences, Strength through Children, Family Structure, and Education and Status are less important factors as the marriage couples could improve these factors from time to time. The Influence of Teacher Participation in Decision-making on Their Occupational Morale By Newman Woodlands This study examined the influence of teacher participation in decision-making on their morale in Zimmermann schools. There are many theorists predicted that participative management will enhance the active involvement of relevant stakeholders in decision- making. Besides, decision-making regarding school governance is conceptual and not contentious; participation is a positive intervention that will improve schools in terms of its own performance.

Such an assumption that greater local participation will improve the relevance, quality and accountability of schools is held worldwide; schools, parents and other community members are receptive to taking on new responsibilities. For methodological part, qualitative/ interpretive research methodology was adopted in this study and a case study research design was used as the operational framework for data gathering. Data Zanzibar. The population sample comprised of 5 secondary school heads and 20 secondary school teachers who were purposefully selected.

In order to get an in- depth of the analysis of the shared decision-making concept, a series of interviews were conducted over a period of two months. The authors also do some observations on two staff meetings at each school to get further insights in the teacher participation in the decision- making processes in schools.

The respondents from 4 unsatisfied schools indicate that locus of control and of decision making in certain issues lied mainly in the hands of a few individuals that is, the heads, deputy heads, senior masters and senior women thus the staff morale was very low because of teachers' low involvement in decision making in areas such as school based promotion, choice of curriculum, meting out punishment and student discipline policies. The responding searchers indicated that they were not happy with the way decisions were arrived at in committees as they were not consulted at all. 0 However, one of the five participating schools, teachers said that their morale was high. They said that they enjoyed a trusting relationship with their school head and relatively involved in the decision making processes in strategic issues such as the formulation of a school budget, organization of school trips, choice of curriculum and teaching load allocation.

In conclusion, this study supports some of the past research results. Participation of searchers in decision- making also enables teachers to become active participants in school management processes.

As a result of this, teachers will have a wider and greater ownership of the school, its vision and priorities. Teachers will therefore become good decision makers as participation in decision making is a proactive approach to information sharing among teachers. Furthermore, teachers who are given an opportunity to participate in decision making, indications are that they experience high morale. From my experience, being unable to make decision making for your student is quite motivating

as the educator are the one who execute all the planning done by the upper level management.

This issue is a common situation happened in most of the institution everywhere. This study will open up more opportunities for institutions to increase their performance in educating their students and to encourage the educators participate in any kind of decision that involved with their students. The authors had good review on past studies and they have many supports from the theorist regarding on the positive impact that subordinates could give when they make some decision making within their organization.

From methodological view, I believe that the authors did a great Job involving both interviews and observations to gather reliable and focus result at the end of this study.

The author also interviews views and response. Observations on teacher meeting also is a vital action to do in this study in order to know the exact environment happen within a school when the management did their decision making process. Based on their findings, the authors managed to get both satisfied and unsatisfied teachers on 5 schools they studied.

These negative and positive responses will give a Lear comparison on how the satisfied or unsatisfied teachers on their schools operation, decision making process and their staff morale as well. I believe that this study will encourage more 1 1 upper management of any schools to lay some of their decision making responsibilities to their teachers in order for them to achieve their target on students' performance.

A Matter of Faith: A Qualitative Study with Evangelical Christians. By Monica A. Policy, Richard C. Henries Jar. And Sherry A. Series.

This

study examined the meaning of faith through the eyes of evangelical Christians. Evangelicals are typically conservative and espouse to the virgin birth of Christ, believe Chrism's death on the cross provided the atonement for the sins of the world, that he was bodily resurrected, and that the miracles reported in the Bible are authentic. This study is a phenomenological study which is to understand how six adult participants in Southeast Texas describe and experience the essence of faith.

The authors had come out with three interview questions explored descriptions of personal experiences of faith, how faith manifests on a daily basis, and the role of hurt attendance in faith. From methodological part, the authors selected the participants from the group included members of the evangelical community.

Participants included two men and four women who ranged in age from 20 to 71 . Three evangelical denominations were represented: Southern Baptist, Non-denominational, and Assemblies of God.

In this study instrumentation, two predestined questionnaires were utilized by the researchers for data collection. The first was a demographics questionnaire. The second questionnaire was a semi-structured interview protocol that included four rand tour interview questions: (a) Tell me about your personal faith and what faith means to you.

(b) What have your experiences been in terms of faith? (c) How does faith manifest in your life on a daily basis? (d) How does church attendance affect your faith? On the findings, the authors managed to code the data into four separate themes which comes from the data gathered.

The first theme is the "Trials and Tribulations" which 12 conclude that the sense of trust, hope, and reliance in their personal

faith plays a considerable role in the lives of the participants in the midst of difficulties. The threatened through their relationships knowing that they share the same faith in Jesus Christ. The third theme is the "Faith is a Process" which been described by the participants on how their faith grew as a result of personal study and reflection and through attendance at church services.

However, only four of the six participants reflected that faith can grow through church attendance while two stated that there was not necessarily a relationship between faith, church attendance, and spiritual growth. The last theme is the "Evangelism" which defines as sharing the story of Jesus Christ with others. In this study, five of the six participants shared their individual beliefs concerning evangelism and how evangelism is a part of their personal faith lives. Comments on the article: This study had perked my interest on adding new knowledge about other religion.

Christian is a religion which has the largest number of followers of its own. Due to my faith in my own religion, I had taken an interest to read this article and it gives me new information toward Christian religion.

As for myself, faith had taken a big impact for me to move on in my life and this study shows me that the other religion followers also feel the same as I am. Although religiosity is a sensitive issue, I praise the authors who have strong courage and passion to study about this matter.

I am sure that they need to make sure that they do not touch the sensitivity part of other people faith and beliefs when

conducting the interviews. From the methodological part, what interest me the most is the authors manage to get an evangelical Christian who Just converted from other religion to be interviewed. This gives me a new perspective on how the participant adapts her new faith and environment in Christianity. I am sure that it is not an easy situation regards that any new comer end to be badly treated by her own family and friends who are still in her previous religion.

Furthermore, the interview questions really hit the objective of the study. The authors really use questions that will give them the absolute data for this study. The questionnaire used by them also gives the privacy for the participants to answer which is a good way to get their cooperation. Based on the findings, I feel that the authors did a great on their coding. There are four themes can be found which are Trials and Tribulations, Family of Faith, Faith is a Process and Evangelism.

All these themes give a clear understanding to the readers on how 13 well the evangelical Christian having their faith on.
