Many people are growing more interested in how their food is produced, or how the population of a foreign country produces food. Agritourism is a style of vacation that normally takes place on a farm, either domestically or abroad.
Agritourism farms in the Philippines offer tours to allow a person to view the growing, harvesting, and processing of locally grown foods, such as corn, coconuts, sugar cane, and pineapple.
Often the farmers provide a home-stay opportunity and general education on the Norkings of the farm. Children who visit the farms often have not seen a live duck, or
pig, and have not picked an apple right off the tree. This form of expanded agritourism has given birth to what are often called entertainment farms. These arms cater to the pick-your-own crowd, offering not only regular farm products, but also food, mazes, open-pen animals, train rides, picnic facilities, and pick-your-own produce.
In the United States, dude ranches offer tourists the chance to work on cattle ranches and sometimes include cattle drives. rhe researchers choose the right respondents according to their relationship and familiarity with the conducted study. They choose the farmers as their respondents because they knew better than the others such as the right way to plant from site look like an attraction. They choose also the ranch keepers as their respondents ecause they know how to run a ranch with lots of animals such as horses, ostrich and the like.
By choosing them as respondents the researchers can get farther information to conduct the study they have been chosen. These study was conducted in order to give knowledge of what tourism is and how the agricultural and rural based service and products can become tourism services and products. Mostly the farmers and agri-business people, domestic or international, who are visiting other countries, provinces, states, and countries to buy or sell products,and who at the same time might visit both agricultural and non- gricultural sites and attractions are examples of agri-tourist.
They might be traveling to far off places to attend or participate In agricultural trade shows, fairs, plowing competitions, conferences and the like. Definition of Terms Agri-tourism - or also referred to as "farm tourism" is a form of tourism activity conducted

Farm Product/s - refers to fresh and processed products of the farm.
DOT or Department - is the Department of Tourism According to the Mexican ecologist Hector Ceballos Lascurain who defined ecotourism in 1980's "tourism that consist in traveling to relatively undisturbed or uncontaminated natural areas with the specific objective of studying, admiring and enjoying the scenery and its plants and animals, as well as any existing cultural manifestations, both past and present, found in these areas".
It is believed that ecotourism is an important tool in achieving sustainable development, which is "to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future enerations to meet their own needs. The first National Ecotourism Congress held in Tagbilaran, Bohol on October 27-29, 1999 defined ecotourism as a tool for sustainable development through the proper management, protection and conservation of the countrys national and cultural resources while at the same time generating Jobs and
businesses for the local people. Ecotourism is another growing segment of the tourism industry. Since tourism is now the worlds largest ndustry, the environment is becoming the center in tourism development. It is also the core of the tourism product.
Tourism has the power to improve the environment nd it also has the power to destroy it.
If tourism is not properly planned and Implemented, it can destroy vegetation, create congestion, pollute beaches, cause housing problems, litter tourist areas and ignore the needs of the local community.
