An instrument that calculates atmospheric pressure is called a barometer. This measures the weight of air present in the atmosphere and there exist two main types: mercury barometer and aneroid barometer. An aircraft commonly uses the aneroid barometer for altitude measurements and weather predictions. A drop in pressure or low pressure signifies turbulent weather, while a rise in pressure or high-pressure indicates good weather conditions. Measuring the difference between liquid or air pressures concerning outside sources characterizes another type of device known as manometers. The piezometer tube and U-shaped manometer are some examples of manometers used for various applications such as gas analyses, atmospheric surveys, and weather studies. These instruments are also useful for researching different planet atmospheres made up mostly of plastic or glass material with digi
