A college education can be elaborated as a type of higher learning training where the learner or student majors in her/his line of specialization after the secondary school education. The work-study learned in the college education is wider though skewed to a particular line of expertise with a different level of certification, for instance, certificate, diploma, degree, and philosophy of doctorate. This paper majors on the importance of college education by focusing on how such education can impact on the life of the learner. The main aim of acquiring college education is to gain valuable skills that may make the student marketable in job environment after the education; also students also attend college education to get the life experience accompanied by the college life.

Selingo argues that many high-level jobs require at least an associate degree before obtaining it, thus prompting many people to turn to the college education. Even if an individual can move up in a company, some jobs will be out of reach without a college certificate. In addition to the particular job within a field requiring the college education to move forward, many careers also require a specific degree; this position includes teaching and nursing jobs. If a person wants to have a career in such profession, there is no shortcut, just one way, acquiring a college education.
Another importance of college education is that it helps an individual gain valuable work skills. College is often what a person makes out of it, though some colleges are better and more prestigious than others, expensive education can b
gained in most of them despite their ideal condition. If the student regularly attends class and respond to well to the challenging units, then he or she quite assured of the best skills from the college education. The internship is always offered when in the final stages of a college education, this helps in gaining technical experience in the area of specialization besides building the resume and networking with the preferable organization for the future job engagement.
Lastly, college education offers a chance to new experience accompanied by socialization and meeting diverse individuals from different nations and ethnical backgrounds. A college education will not only help in determining whether or not the intended career is right, but also helps in learning how to interact with other people (Hout, 2012). When a student gets into the work world, he/she will need to work with different personalities, and college is a great place to start practicing the interaction. College also is a better introduction to being an adult. Many college aspects like the total freedom the student gets away from parents translate into critical life skills that will help after the college life.
In conclusion, a college education does not only contribute to developing the students' career or improve educational background but also shapes the life of the student to face the real life with different personalities outside the college life. Interactions in the college, for instance, the affectionate relationship and other casual relationship in the college explicitly determine the how the student will behave in future in regards to other relationship outside the college institution. Besides, the skills and knowledge acquired in the college is important to the
students' life in the job market since currently, almost all jobs require academic personnel with a post-secondary education.
