The hamburger is made up of many ingredients obtained from various suppliers around the globe. First is the bun which is baked and supplied by a bakery in Heywood. Then there is the sauce which is made in Lancashire, the cheese slice is sourced from Northern Ireland. They market their product through various programs like sponsoring musicians. They have also opened a big McDonald’s museum in the United States to help in marketing their product. They have no specific target market since their product is used by everyone despite the age and sex. Gasoline is one of the components of crude oil. Once the crude oil is obtained, production processes will follow. This involves a series of drilling activities together with facility engineering. Once the crude oil is obtained from the reservoir, refining activities follow where now the gasoline is obtained.

The gasoline is then supplied to various warehouses from which the final consumer can access it. The supply chain in automobile repair is well understood using the SCOR model. It all starts with a plan where the repair company chooses the specific type of automobile they wish to deal with. This is then followed by looking for the specific suppliers from whom they wish to source raw materials from. After all this then the making stage comes in play where they repair the specific automobiles they deal witw. The repaired automobiles are then delivered to the customer who incase is not satisfied can return the automobile back to the repair company. Textbooks are always made in accordance to the demand of the educational sector. But before they are made, papers should be sourced from a paper mill. This is the primary raw material. After that, contents of the textbook are scrutinized by the editor after which page layout and design follows.

This is then followed by bookbinding, printing and shipping to specific publisher warehouses. Textbooks are made of different kinds to target specific customers.
The demand for textbooks always has a seasonal demand because people will always demand for textbooks just in case the syllabus has changed or the department of education has asked them to do so. The demand can therefore be predicted. On the other hand, the daily demand for telephone calls is irregular with numerous fluctuations.

This is because the trends cannot be clearly told since it has sudden changes which are unlikely to be predicted. Monthly demand for newspapers may grow or decline over time but may also continue to persist over time. This is referred to as the secular trend under the time series components. In conclusion, monthly sales of a retail florist may tend to have long-term oscillations. The sales may not stagnant at one point but may tend to change and these changes are associated mainly with various business cycles. Such trends are called cyclic movements.
