During a sleepover at Stella’s house, she organized an event so that we could spend some time together as we were all separated. Stella connected a DVD player to the television, hit the start button, and we all gathered around on a big quilt in front of the couch with our snacks and beverages.
Within minutes of the movie starting, tears began streaming down my face as memories flooded back from my school days. I thought of my friends, teachers, lunch lady, and the entire school community. As the first clip played on the screen, it took me back to our "Mother's Day" celebration where we sang, danced, and praised our moms.
Various games were set up for the mothers and as the movie progressed, memories of past occasions and time spent in school flooded my mind and stirred
...up emotions, causing me to cry. However, a moment of hilarity occurred when the lunch lady fell on the ground and I burst out laughing, immediately recalling a time when I, Stella, and Lucy had to jump the lunch line and grab burgers with Jessie distracting the lunch lady.
The lady spotted us and chased after us, but we sprinted away as quickly as possible. When the lunch lady reached for Lucy, Lucy dodged and the lunch lady stumbled onto the ground… It was hilarious at first, but we eventually felt sympathy for her. Shortly after, I stumbled upon another memory from our farewell. Tears were pouring down everyone's faces. "The Farewell Party! Oh my God, it was the last day of school," Jessie exclaimed.
At our goodbye gathering, which took place in the school hall, we all looked
lovely and elegant. We engaged in various activities such as singing, dancing, photography sessions, chitchatting and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The program featured tableaus, presentations of titles and a runway competition orchestrated by the younger students. I was bestowed with the title of "Angel on Earth", though it did not quite fit me. Additionally, we indulged in beverages throwing after the party.
We had an amazing time at our farewell party, even though there were some gloomy moments. However, as soon as the movie ended, laughter filled the room and we all enjoyed laughing together while giving hugs. It was a bittersweet moment as we realized that our good times - which included cheating on pop tests, annoying teachers, teasing the lunch lady and bullying juniors - had come to an end.
