Furthermore, increased globalization makes it easier for rogue states or terrorist groups operating with support from powerful nations to perpetrate acts of terror around the world with relative impunity. State sponsored terrorism undermines democracy and human rights by creating a climate of fear and repression that inhibits free speech and open debate about important issues facing society today. It also serves as a powerful tool for dictatorships attempting to consolidate their power through force instead of consent by punishing dissenters who challenge their rule or speak out against injustice. Furthermore, this type of violence tends to destabilize regions which can result in widespread conflict within countries or across borders between hostile states or groups vying for control over resources or territory they both want access too. The only way we can effectively combat state sponsored terrorism is through international cooperation aimed at denying those responsible safe havens where they can hide while planning attacks abroad without fear of accountability or prosecution under international law; combined with targeted economic sanctions designed specifically designedto make them pay dearly for any human rights abuses committed against innocent civilians regardless as well as diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving conflicts peacefully rather than resorting terror tactics .
