What is Characters?
Characters are the people that make up a story and can be considered the most important part. They shape how the plot develops, how readers feel about them, and ultimately how they remember the story. Characters can come in all shapes and sizes, from heroic protagonists to wicked villains and everywhere in-between. Regardless of what type of character is being written about, there are certain qualities that should always exist within them if they are to be believable or effective as part of a narrative. The first quality a good character should have is complexity. Characters need to have layers like real people do; meaning that not everything about them should be revealed at once or else it will seem like they haven’t been given much thought or depth. Complex characters often have hidden motivations for their actions which provides readers with an interesting mystery to unravel throughout the course of a story. It also helps keep stories engaging by making it difficult for readers to predict what might happen next since each character has so many different motives influencing their decisions and behavior.Another important quality of good characters is relatability. Readers usually tend to connect with characters who share similar values and beliefs as themselves while simultaneously feeling intrigued by those who oppose them on various topics such as politics or religion etc.. This allows authors to explore themes more deeply through creating contrasting views between two opposing sides with one providing perspective A while another provides perspective B ultimately creating room for debate between both parties involved without making either side feel judged or attacked over their own personal opinions/beliefs etc.. Lastly, well-developed characters usually possess some kind of internal conflict which adds tension and suspense into any piece of writing thus making it even more exciting than if it was simply filled with plain facts alone. Internal struggles allow writers to create complex scenarios where multiple factors play out at once forcing characters into difficult situations where no matter what decision they make somebody gets hurt in some way whether physically or emotionally speaking this makes stories far more compelling when done correctly because readers end up sympathizing greatly towards whichever protagonist finds themselves stuck in such predicaments causing strong emotional reactions from audiences around the world. Overall, having complex multi-faceted personalities that viewers can relate too combined with internal conflicts creates truly memorable characters who remain ingrained long after reading/watching finished works containing them due mainly because authors went above beyond when developing their creations before introducing them onto paper/screen alike – thus giving us lasting memories worth cherishing forevermore.
