How do you feel about the topic? Life as A Case Manager it the Perfect title. Because the people in the video goes into the very details in their daily duties as a case manager. Also, I feel that the topic should be used as part of the social work curriculum. That way, future social workers can get an idea of what other social workers goes through on a daily basis. And they can get an idea of if social work is really for them and to see if they are willing to stay in it in the long run.

...ange, such as mental health problem, family breakdown, suicide, and helping family and individual overcome hardship to name a few. Furthermore, it can be a rewarding job as well as a tough one. Meaning that there is no overnight success in restoring the dysfunctional situation. In addition, you will be meet people from walks of life with issues that one may not be able to fathom. You will not only assess the clients’ need, however, but you will also have to address extended family members needs depending on the case. For example, if a child is being physical abuse, the child will be the priority in getting the child in a safe place, then the extended family member who is abusing the child will also be offer help in anger management.
How
did it challenge your thinking? Social work affects one’s personal life. Like not finding balance after a days’ work. You can be exhausted and not spend enough time with your own family which in turn they become fed up with you not spending enough time with them. After dealing with other challenging kids, you may become less torrent with your own. Furthermore, anxiety and sleepless night may occur, which you may become mentally and emotionally drained.
Seeing people struggle and not having what they need and knowing there is a greater need out there that you want me to help and can’t be heartbreaking and become depressing, along with the daily things that have to be turned in.
