Bullying is the contemporary issues selected for this project. This is the use of superior influence or strength in order to intimidate a person, purposely to make him/her do the things you want. This issue of bullying has been there in our schools for some decades. In the course of 18th, harassment involving peers was the same as it is today (Koo, 2007). During this time, it was not referred to as bullying due to the fact that people were not aware of the term “bullying”. A possibility is that what is being considered to a violent way of conduct today was accepted in the course of 18th century. From this time up to today, bullying has been a present issue in our schools.

It was also considered as being an innocent “misbehavior” or “misadventure” among school boys. This type of behavior was observed in the United Kingdom at King’s boarding school when a boy, twelve years old was bulled and killed y his older classmates (Koo, 2007).

the rest. Some of these include differences in terms of race and social classes among many others. Endless excuses to execute hostility are another cultural bias present in the issues of bullying of bullying. For the bullies that have ever existed, Americans have reasons as to why the acts of that guy are righteous or justified. It has been a cultural belief that an action should be first executed after which questions as to why this has been done are asked (Koo, 2007). For quite long, religion has been associated with the bullying.

Differences in terms of religion have played a very big role in leading to the problem of bullying. Due to immigration, the problem of bullying has sprouted. There have been cases where students are bulled by their peers in cases where their parents have migrated to another country. This is the case as they are strangers to the new place where they have shifted. Lastly, race and ethnicity are issues present in bullying.

Differences in terms of skin color, cultural practices and beliefs have played very critical roles in contributing to bullying (Salmivalli, 2010).
Students are the individuals mostly involved in cases of bullying of bullying. Bullies have low levels of participation when it comes to class work. They have a habit of working as groups in order to bully others. A large number of bullies are lazy (Koo, 2007). They don’t like doing their assignments and hence they force their peers to perform these tasks for them. Lastly, like forcing others into their bad behaviors or the practices they believe in.

Income inequality is one of the social inequalities present in bullying. This has resulted

into the creation of a gap between the poor and the rich. In most cases, the poor are the ones being bullied by the rich. People of high social classes separate themselves from the poor something which results into status anxiety. The poor hence end up getting bullied as they have limited power as compared to the rich. Bullying in some other cases comes as a result of racism. In the United States for instance, the blacks are getting bulled due to the fact that they have been neglected by human rights (Salmivalli, 2010).

Currently, bullying is facing a campaign of stopping the practice. As of today, majority of the states have launched laws aiming at stopping the issue of bullying. Bullying among students is one of the areas aimed at by laws imposed by these states (Salmivalli, 2010). As of today, consequences of bullying in our school include taking disciplinary actions, discontinuing a student or sending the student to an alternative school. In places such as Hawaii, a person is charged a certain amount of fee if found participating in acts of bullying. Furthermore, actions are being taken in order to create environments in which acts of bullying cannot take place.

Creating connections

The relationship between the cultural beliefs and biases identified above is negative. Discrimination hinders the group affected from performing their duties as per the expectations. On religion, believers of a certain religion get bulled by others from another different religion. Immigrants have a negative relation with people of the area they have shifted to as they are being taken as strangers. The cultural beliefs and biases identified above are very useful as they will

help me understand the reasons as to why bullying is being practiced. They will in addition give me some light on the different ways in which bullying is being executed (Koo, 2007). The social roles identified above have a positive relation with the issue of bullying. This is due to the fact students acts in ways that support bullying. As a result of this, a major expectation is that the academic performance of the victims of bullying will end up getting affected as they are not free in the environment they are in. These social roles will help me gain an understanding on the ways in which bullying is being executed (Salmivalli, 2010)

Social inequalities are present in the issue in that they help support bullying. As a result of income qualities, the societies are divided in groups of people of the same income level. People of low income levels get bulled as they are considered as having limited rights. On racism, the blacks are victims of bullying in most cases (Salmivalli, 2010). This is the case because rights that defend them have become neglected. Social inequalities are helpful towards understand the issue of bullying as they are key contributors towards it. Bullying is affecting the current conditions as it is posing a challenge to the rules that have been designed in order to prevent bullying. Georgia is one of the states in which anti-bullying laws have been implemented. Despite the fact that laws have become imposed, the problem of bullying is still continuing. Due to this, this social issue may end up bringing up a change to the existing conditions. This is the case since

some cases of bullying are being supported (Koo, 2007).
