Socialization is the process through which culture is identified. During socialization process, language of culture is learned and the role one plays in life. According to (Schaffler 225), child is said to have human characters at nature during birth. They are also said to lack personality. According to (Trey 1.15) one process of socialization is formal education. It is evidenced from the movie that, children do go to school to acquire skill applicable in life. They get skills from the teachers in classes, parents at a home and even from their friends.
As seen in the Trey (1.23), socialization form education wise in class has also prompted relationship as another form of socialization. Here, Rebecca is visited by a Boy who is her friend but when the boy finds Rebecca’s parents’ home, he has nothing to tell Rebecca and goes away. The primary ag
...ent of socialization as evidenced from the movie is the family. This is the major source of socialization as it teaches the norms and values of life. Family as a primary agent of socialization equips children with behavioral characteristics, interaction process and different aspects through which life is based on.
The secondary agents of socializations are schools and peer friends. Schools as an agent of socialization equips us with skills, knowledge and technical wits that are required in daily lives when looking for life survival like basic needs (Blakeley). Peers on the other hand teaches the mode of socialization in life. As interaction goes on, it is quite clear that, some social values of life are gained. Norms, behavioral characters and social life characters are acquired through secondary agents of socialization.
Both primary and secondar
agents of socialization teaches us life values that helps us in survival. They are also learned through interaction with other people (Blakeley, 2015). Primary socialization starts right from when child is born and goes through different developmental stages in life until one dies. On the other hand, secondary socialization is acquired from late stages of life development.
