The Constitutional attempt to address the problems of decentralization in the Articles of Confederation.
Decentralization is one of the fundamental approaches to developmental administration whose intent was to bring forth inclusion in America, no doubt about that. It is the process of dispersing and redistributing functions, people and powers from a particular central authority so that most people can be beneficiaries of progress. Unfortunately, the process of decentralization was greatly associated with major problems like increased corruption, inequalities and central government failures in crucial areas of national priority. These problems are the major causes of tension the tension existing between decentralization and centralization in the current America.

Basically, disparities, alienation and discrimination were the problematic features associated to decentralization till when the constitution was proposed as an ultimate attempt to address decentralization issues as exhibited under the Article of Confe

deration. The new American constitution thus attempted to minimize the decentralization problems since they inhibited supremacy in treaty making. The constitution suggested solutions to three main problems of decentralization hence a reason why it is credited as the perfect attempt in addressing problem of decentralization for the sake of a better America.

Problems of decentralized power that existed under the Articles of Confederation

Research affirm that the three dominant problems existing under the Article of Confederation include the inability of the government to tax, the federal American government to tax which was left for some individuals, (Beard, 2004). Another problem under the Article of Confederation was that the American government lacked resources for currency back up. Thirdly, the government was unable to raise an army which exhibited the increased rates of rebellion and conflict.

as the opium of decentralization problems come up with solutions. For instance, the problem of inability to tax was solved in Article 1, section 8 of the USA constitution which gave the congress the mandate and power to collect taxes, (Vile, 2006). . Secondly, the solution to inability to buck up the currency value was addressed in the constitution by giving the congress powers to coin currency and regulate value of anything that coined money. Apparently, the current American currency is greatly backed by the government for economic purposes. Finally, inability to raise a strong and reliable army is addressed in 1.8 of the new American constitution which gave the government an obligation to raise an army. The constitutional right for the government to raise an army has gave America the power to combat and stop rebellious groups like Shay’s which attempted to tear America apart. Consequently America has one of the best military resources and power in the world.

Tensions between decentralized and centralized power continue to exist

Tension between centralization and decentralization are still impinging America. Most of the American decentralization proponents prefer at the state level while centralized supports want governmental power to be at the national level. As a result, people in favor of centralization would support strict gun laws as those supporting decentralization will be against strict gun laws. In other words, tension exists between decentralization and centralization since the two escalate division among the two political concepts.

Environmental policies on gun control should analyze the democratic of majority American’s without ignoring minority groups in controlling guns for the sake of security and harmonious co-existence. The government should consider the next move if it

burns guns in some parts of the country. Some people are like to indulge in illegal practices to get the guns. On the other hand, most lives will be in danger should the government legalize passion of guns since not all people will afford them. Following this observation, it is clear there exists tension and awaiting conflict between centralization and decentralization.
