Case Studies Patient X #1 Patient X is a 55 year old retired policeman who had been consistently coughing for the past two weeks before being brought to the hospital by his youngest daughter. Recently, he has been fa

Patient X admits to being a regular smoker, smoking two packs of cigarettes daily and occasionally drinking alcohol with friends. After a thorough examination, the doctor prescribed sputum tests and other lung examinations. The results showed signs of ongoing infection in the lungs, which is likely caused by smoking. As a result, Patient X was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Additionally, an elderly white male named Patient Y, who is 95 years old, was admitted to the Hospital.
Patient Y was previousl
in good health before being admitted to the hospital. His difficulties started three weeks prior to admission when his son found him confused and soaked in urine. He was diagnosed with an acute hemorrhagic cerebral vascular accident. Patient Y is responsible for caring for his daughter with MS and despite being alert, he responds slowly due to receptive aphasia.
