It is the dominant player in the inkjet and laser printer market and a major contender in the worldwide PC industry. HP's primary asset lies in its robust global distribution network.

Weaknesses: HP utilizes the Windows platform for all of its I-PAQ phones, which has garnered criticism in numerous user forums for its lack of Windows compatibility. In addition, HP's weakness lies in its inability to swiftly adapt to evolving market conditions and demands.


Opportunities:

HP has a good opportunity for growth in alternative client computing architectures and other emerging mobile computing devices. The forecasted tremendous growth in the mobile phone market presents further potential for expansion.
