Obtaining general knowledge may not be crucial from a different perspective, as it takes a significant amount of time to develop these skills during school or junior college. Consequently, individuals may not be able to pursue their desired careers or professions at a young age. Moreover, subjects like physical sciences and mathematics are often seen as challenging and require individuals with a strong passion, which might discourage potential students from enrolling in college. This is viewed as a disadvantage (Lattuc & Stark, 2011).

In conclusion, while recognizing general education as a requirement in college is important, implementing reforms to ensure there is a reasonable balance becomes necessary.

It is evident that there is no valid criticism of eliminating general education in college as its advantages outweigh any shortcomings or limitations.
